    If you look at Pardew's quotes, we have ONE target - Grenier - and that's it, there is no-one else. So assuming that's dead, which it quite clearly is (Lyon/Grenier/Agent don't want the move), it's destined to be a long, tedious "told you so" from the nay-sayers.

    Grenier wants to stay and try and get 3rd place in French League so giving him Champions League football. Something we are never going to be able to offer under you know who.

    So if Cisse goes by the end of the season our remaining strikers will be two loanees (Remy will not stay imo) and a **** player in Shola. The rebuilding process in the summer could take alot of time and money.

    chances are that Remy will probably not stay, Shola wont be offered a new contract and Du Jong has to prove himself before we buy.
    we're going to need 2 or even 3 strikers in the summer before we even start with the rest of the squad.

    I thank you! I do seriously wonder if there is an appetite to move on for Mr. Ashley; the Rangers link is still very much there, and the job to now do at SJP is growing and is going to take investment of some scale just to tread water.

    Some local press in Portugal reporting Benfica have turned down a $10m bid for Djuricic. Make of that what you will - seems unlikely that we'd bid so much for him, or that such a large sum ($4m profit in 5 months) would be turned down by a Portuguese club in $400m debt.
