How can Varney pick up another pay packet after he has stated he did not want to play? What if his transfer falls through? Give Wise his due, when he was manager, Varney would be out the door today, transfered or not.
Slightly bigger piucture - the club are happy to let him go, another Championship club comes in for him, he doens't want to get injured and we don;t want him to either else we don;t get him off the books and have to pay him for the rest fo the season. Everyone wins really in this situation.
Would you rather he played and did nothing so as not to get injured.Has always done his best for us though he's not good enough, wish him all the best but I'm glad he did nothing to jeopardize any transfer.
Fully agree chesh, lets not play Ross on Sat in case he gets injured and misses the rest of the season
If a transfer is imminent for Ross on Friday then it would be a bad idea to play him sat.Don't want anyone on the pitch who doesn't want to play for Leeds.100% OR NOTHING
That's the problem Shako although Vinnie's back for the Millwall game.http://www.leedsunited.com/news/article/1gp2o8kly29i91o8k770gy1sc1/title/vinnies-coming-back bet he would still be better than half of them.
Saw that elswhere chesh, Hope he brings some of his hollywood mates who are loaded, They buy the club, Vinnie as chairman. Is ross for sale? Go **** yerself, says Jones You heard it here first
Hope the boy Jones is winning his cancer battle. Will be good to see him at Elland Road and firing up the natives!
If he doesnt want to play for the shirt, then thats fine. He doesnt deserve his weeks wages. Never thought he was a shining light for Leeds, but hope his transfer falls through & McDermott never plays him again. What a crap attitude to show towards the Club, the younger players & the fans. Poor professional.
I think some on here maybe missing the point. Varney is not a guaranteed starter for Leeds at the moment. Rumours are that he's wanted by another club. If true, he isn't going to want to jepodise that by playing earlier this week. If it happens for him, good luck to him. If the transfer doesn't happen, I fully expect to read that he'll again give his all for the club.
He can as easily pick up an injury in training, I know players are pampered but this is ridiculous. Now I don't compare football to a 9 to 5 job like a lot of 606ers do, but in this instance I will. What would happen if you refused to do your job in work because you were going for an interview somewhere and you were afraid you might hurt yourself...refuse to play for the club you're breaking your agreement......sack the ****.
not saying you didn't just want to know from where because if true then the Italian is the new owner.
