Morning Troops, And welcome to a special transfer day edition of the Breakfast Debate. You all know where you needs to be. Not only do we have airports covered, but we have bought in reinforcements to scour Thorp Arch, Elland Road, and even McDonalds. If you see anyone at all that resembles a footballer we want to hear about it. As I look out of my window, I saw a guy that looked a bit like Adam Le Fondre drive past in a beat up ford escort, BUT he looked like he was on his way to Elland Road.... Guys and Girls, this could be our first transfer. Lets keep em coming in..... So, lets have a look at the takeover latest, and break it down into plain English.... Sport Capitals bid is dead in the water, after Andrew Flowers publicly attacked GFH for not accepting a revived lower offer for the 75% stake in the club. Why did they revise their offer I hear you ask? Well, asking to Flowers it was 'unspecified issues arising during due diligence'. Whats going to happen to the 6m Sport Capital lent to GFH Capital? Are they going to ask for it back straight away? If so, what will that do to the club? Anyway, it now looks like a two horse race between Italian businessman Massimo Cellino and a consortium fronted by Irishman Mike Farnan. Did you know that Radebe is part of Farnan's consortium??? Is it going to be the devil or the deep blue sea? Over to you......
Morning all, looks like we're stuck with Varney. According to the Daily Mail Cellino has blocked his move to Blackburn
Morning Boggers, morning Essex, Wasn't Cellino supposed to be acting as an adviser to Sport Capital. What did he advise? Revise your accepted offer lower, then publicly criticize them...
It looks like Haigh brought him in as an investor because one of Sports Capital's backers pulled out, and Cellino decided to go it alone. Who knows what's really gone on
Jim White ‏@Sky_JimWhite4m Sunderland have joined the race to sign Ross McCormack from Leeds, who face financial uncertainty and could be forced to sell #LUFC #SAFC
If it's in the mail, I know to my cost that it must be right!!! & don't you all forget it!!!! & then again, maybe it isn't. Think we should just ignore the press until either SSN or the OS has something to say.
Couldn't imagine Ross even wanting to go to Sunderland. Their PL future is by no means certain. Maybe yet more lazy journalism. Time will tell
The other reason why McCormack might not go today is that BMD would have absolutely no time to find a suitable replacement. So Leeds might say to a potential suitor, it'll cost you £10m for Ross today. Can't see anoyone wanting to pay that for Ross.
All GFH would have to say is that Sport Capital called in their 6m loan, so they had to sell him, had no choice!!! Blame it on Haigh
Morning all I can see it playing out exactly like this unfortunately I'll be in the Barnsley area soon.... not many exciting targets for me to keep my eyes open for there!
Morning all. Heres another reason Ross might go. Regardless of who he joins in the pl, hell be in the top division and even if they're relegated, providing he performs, would easily get another move to another pl outfit, all on big money. Stay with Leeds, what can he look forward to? A club going nowhere and not a chance in hell of seeing the pl in his playing lifetime. This is a far different setup now than the one that faced him when he signed his new contract
Glad I signed in today Good morning you happy chappies I am in Reading so could do some rumours about more Reading cast offs if you like
