Cant see it happening. Perhaps on the bench - good start actually. Let him feel the noise and the hate.

I'd be ecstatic if he manages a goal every four games but I'm sure they will be spectacular. All the videos I've seen and posted on here show that he does not do simple tap ins, it's either a rocket into the top corner or he beats a few players and blasts it into the corner of the net. However this probably means a lot of his shots are off target as these never make it onto you-tube.

Anyway - here's a song to make him feel at home, Let's all get behind him and give him the support from the start

Try 3 pr 4 minutes mate!

Tell you though, I reckon a drummer and that would be good at the SOL, would get the crowd going.

Mind, miss one ****ing beat and be eternally jeered by some fat **** in a 3 year old replica shirt that goes to one game in 10.

I expect something different from what we have got at the moment..That is an attacker who rather than play the lone target man, will be someone who plays the most advanced role in a footballing formation. I also expect him not to be afraid to have a shot at goal which seems to be a problem of ours at the moment..

what do you expect from scocco?

Once he's settled, i expect not to see Fletcher or Altidore starting a game.

Transfer window: Ignacio Scocco joins Sunderland

Sunderland have signed striker Ignacio Scocco on a two-and-a-half-year contract for an undisclosed fee.
The Argentina international, 28, joins from Brazilian side Internacional.
Compatriots Oscar Ustari and Santiago Vergini are already on Wearside, having been signed earlier this month.
Sunderland, who on Wednesday moved out of the Premier League relegation zone for the first time since August, have also recently signed defender Marcos Alonso on loan from Fiorentina.
Asked about Scocco in April, South American football expert Tim Vickery wrote in his weekly BBC Sport column: "He might not be a big target man centre-forward, but he has some penalty area presence and moves outside the area with fluidity and intelligence."
The deal further increases head coach Gus Poyet's forward options after he recalled striker Conor Wickham from a temporary spell at Sheffield Wednesday.
Scocco has only won one cap for his country so far, scoring twice against Brazil in an Americas Superclassic Cup match in November 2012, which ended 3-3 before Argentina lost on penalties.

Think he'll be the key man to address our big problem the gaping hole between Ki and the striker. At home we can go a little more attacking whilst keeping Gus' style

    -----------------Mannone----------------------
    Barsley------Oshea------Brown-------Alonso
    ----------------Ki------Bridcutt-----------------
    Johnson----------Scocco-----------------Borini
    -------------------Altidore----------------------
