Barton making amends?

Not sure how many of you have watched Joey's interview on SSN in his delightful top hat but I thought it sounded like he was trying to make amends for his twitter comments and general bashing of Ashley and the board.
Was going on about how its their club etc... and how this is football and things happen.

Perhaps if he could just keep his cool, get his head down and keep his mouth shut regarding the board, they might just offer him that deal.

The fact he says he still doesnt want to leave speaks volumes.

 

Its a football club not a dictatorship, just wish someone will tell FCB that.

 

I'm not one to stick up for Ashley and his cronies, but if you were a manager anywhere, not even in football, in any business, and one your employees was constantly slagging you and your hierarchy off, how motivated would you be to give them a new deal? Not very.

If all the rumours about him finding out about Barton was slagging him off at that charity do is true, maybe Barton's dug his own grave.

 

I prefer Barton to Jesus now days.

 

Barton simply saw the threads and responses on his Android phone using the (class) not606 app .. and then saw a SSN reporter steaming towards him. With his massive hat he couldn't disappear into the crowd so had to think on his feet .. as any upstanding scouser would, he played a blinder .. still a daft bastard for that tweet though .. but his cheeky chappy persona will win us round with ease

Barton is an emotional chap who wears his heart on his sleeve. I imagine the tweets happened very soon after he heard the news. Knee jerk reaction is all. There are some on the board who had a similar reaction, looking at the big thread

 

He looked ****ing spectacular in that mind, kind of like how I would imagine the Artful Dodger from Oliver would look when he got older (from the neck up)... would probably be just as big a scally as well!

 

Barton's comments were correct, however if he wants to keep on the right side of the dictator running our club if he wants to stay.

I hope so too. The sig took nearly 3 minutes on paint. I just don't have that kind of time to spare...

 

Who knows if he stays with us long enough he might learn to to cross in that time

I saw his tweets and the SSN interview. I could just imagine his agent seeing his tweets, having a coronary and frantically trying to ring him "NO JOEY!! SHUT THE **** UP!! People can actually see what you're tweeting! You realise that?" Joey's people then frantically trying to find a reporter with a camera so he can make nice quickly.
