Nottingham Forest and Middlesbrough are in talks to sign Danny Graham, currently on a season-long loan at Hull City, Sky Sports understands. Graham signed for Hull in the summer from Sunderland, but with Shane Long and Nikica Jelavic having arrived at the KC Stadium, they are seemingly happy to let him leave.

Because he likes it here and is hoping to play his way into earning a contract offer for next seasons prem campaign.

He is trying to get the best deal for himself, I would if I was him.

Another epic fail versus Southend. he has been consistent in missing good chances all season.

If we sub loan him to another club, do we definitely have a loan place available?

    Anybody?

We can't loan him to anyone else, he's not our player.

We'd have to set up a deal where we arrange a loan with another club, agree to fund part of the wages, then get Sunderland to agree to recall him and loan him out to them.

We would then free up a loan spot.

Thanks, hope to see some movement before the end of the window. I hope we have some irons in the fire for a loan coming in. It wouldn't surprise me for Sunderland to veto any deal for DG to leave here.

V disappointing its come to this, when he initially signed I thought he would be a step up on what we had at the time. I would say the fact that Sunderland want Graham off their books also by all accounts should ensure that if he is able to find a club before tomorrow that would maybe take him permanently in the Summer that Sunderland would OK such a move.

Boro seem to be in the lead to sign him, according to Sky and Sunderland are not apposed to him being re-loaned, as long as City cover any difference in the wages. Seems in all parties interest to let him go, City to save as much as they can on his wages, and to go to a Championship club and try to get his confidence back, as Sunderland will want to try and sell him for as much as they can.

They actually said they are not against it in principle, but come back to us with details.

There seems to be a lot of confusion over whether we can re-loan him, or if we need to sort a deal, guarantee the wage, then get Sunderland to recall him and re-loan him.

Obviously, with the former he remains as one of our loans, with the latter a loan spot would be freed up.

How would he remain a loan if we loaned him out? He wouldn't be in our squad.

He's registered with us on a season long loan, unless Sunderland cancel that loan, he remains on our books as one of our loan signings.

How could he be registered as a loanee at two different clubs? That makes no sense.

I'm still not even convinced that it's possible for us to re-loan him at all, but it's what the HDM said.
