Whilst I welcome criticism from the lower classes I do feel I have unfairly been singled out for criticism over my recent discussion with Dick Plum and my support for the former board.

To get the facts absolutely right, my posts have always been factual or where opinion based I have said so. I have not plagiarised others work and have called it as I saw it. It just so happens that I have called it right. A lesser person may have said I told you so, not me, but I did. I have never said a single bad word against the last board because I have no desire or need to slander anyone that I have never corresponded with, indeed I have supported the last board based on their record. A record that history will prove to be very successful. Nobody despite my challenges has ever shown any evidence real or unreal that the last board set out to hurt the club. I can tell you right now that the Kevin Cash story is hopelessly one sided, probably wrong factually, and logically just mental. Put simply, through the generous donation from Slater and Jimi for 17 months this club has been kept afloat. I have a good source that has told me both Slat and Jimi were rather taken aback by some of the fans disgraceful fabricated stories that they really felt that there would never win these fans over, they stuck at it for a season and a half getting dogs abuse from fat little men in gola trainers with pretentions of grandeur. Slater never made the call on Chris Powell as in my opinion he knew that he was pup but that would have further aggravated the fans had they made the right call and sacked the useless so and so. As for running out of money- I doubt it, patience more like.

Other sites have dedicated themselves to removing the last board and they got their wish, they have lied and slandered and continue to do and the sheep still follow. Ask yourself this. Where is the trust now? If Slats had done this Barnie would have nailed himself to the Goalposts-but they do nothing? What is the other cardigan kings reactions? It seems the main players are caught up in the web of their own bullshat, Keep in with Muzza and get on TV or perhaps do the right thing and say what a mess this club is in? But then it might be pointed out who put us in the toilet bowel in the first place!

I am not apologising for upsetting anyone, this club has a right load of bell ends in the stands and now on the board. I didn't vote for it.

Good post, typical. Honest and emotive.

I'm sure Dick has enough in the locker to counter your argument, so we shall see how he responds, but the debate must at least be civil, which is quite an incredible statement coming from me. I wouldn't say either party has been overly spiteful, but we know these things can escalate quickly, so let's calm down and be forum friends, eh?

The last few weeks have been really difficult for all Charlton supporters, and there is most certainly more to come, yet surely we all need to rally round our great club. Again.

You are an excellent poster, typical, so please keep it up.

    COYR!

i think you single yourself out. going back a bit, i remember voicing my factual opinion that the olympics would be disruptive to my (just my) travel arrangements as i work in greenwich. you launched in to a neanderthal speech about footballers being overpaid, how it would do the country good, how i should grin and bear it etc. i was just voicing my opinion and you just went for it. the track record you have for when someone disagrees with you is not that its a peaceful affair - its predictable.

you should at least see why people argue back - when you disagree, you resort to name calling and derogatory comments. i think most have learned to take you with a pinch of salt like i do.

Have you waited two years to get that off your chest?

Firstly I can't recall your post, but from the sound of it I was bloody right to do so. The last thing I am is rude and I do not resort to derogatory comments. I would point out however that you cannot hold a factual opinion, nor can you expect the nation to cancel the Olympics so you can get to your jobs in Asdas. The Olympics were a huge profitable success, no thanks to you.

I simply ask that if you gonna take a view that is contrary to mine, provide reasoned arguments, not provide me with a nappy rash of rumour and speculation, a response like that deserves to get ridiculed. The Olympics are very special as are CAFC, treat them with respect.

    Thanks Pea,

Typical- why do your posts always have to be a mixture of rational opinions and observations and vitriolic insults aimed at CL and Dickp in particular and in general those who see things differently?

    pinch of salt time...

no, not waited two years. i just decided that you are not capable of being reasoned with, its either black or white. and frankly, i dont have time to waste trying to get through brick...

this was just an example of my dealings with you. since when, i have largely ignored your posts as the views of an angry little man dont appeal to me, i get enough of that at work - fact
i take enormous credit from the olympics. my tax paid for them - fact
they did impact on my travel arrangements, a 25 min journey ended up taking and hour and half - fact
i didnt ask for the olympics to be cancelled, they were enjoyable, the way it was organised and communication with residents was ****e - fact
you conformed to my opinion of you; name calling and derogatory comments - fact

I go back to the Valley party days, when this club fans stood up on one issue alone and we campaigned and we believed in the one goal. People that have never been political in their lives, rallied up and against the unfairness and worked with a new board and made a difference. When it was all over they went back to their lives, they asked for no reward because they had it. These fans and these ideals are being sullied by the trust, CL and all the other satellite little groups feeding of that party and its achievement. I can tell you a much different story to the one peddled by those that said they were there. They weren't at all or played minor roles. The real heroes are lost in history and were never heard from again. The scumbags that now claim the glory are the ones that reappear time and time again, telling us what to think and do. And the weak minded follow.

We now have a real ugly bunch of fans feeding from the trough of the valley party, they tell a board they never met, how to spend their money and on whom, they leak stories and tell untruths to get their own way. They have bullied and lied and you expect me to sit back? I can only tell you how I see it and if you don't like it then fair enough. But don't come on here and say I am being unfair and rude when all I am doing is sticking up for those that don't answer back.

There was a time when I would go back and forth with yourself and argue for days on end. The last 2 years I have actually agreed with most of what you've said about the board. This site was the only one of all the forums who called Rick Everitt's post about administration a complete fabrication and understood the impact his fabricated post had on the club. I never heard an ounce of truth from anyone in the world of football that it could have been the position, and I recall AH and Ponders hearing the same. Yes they got rid of a few faces (deservedly so), some deciding to then walk seemingly in protest. That's the working environment. People got upset because they would no longer hear how many tickets were sold away at blackburn, or be told they were aware of an imminent signing 4 weeks after they had signed on the dotted line.

However, Leaburn this morning and Ponders on this thread, have it right - we need to keep posts civil and avoid getting caught in a slanging match with each other. We are all capable of doing that. A lot of stuff I leave as I see it as banter, which is a massive reason as to why football is so popular (especially within the male demographic). But anything personal and we do cross a line. But that's something that applies to the forum as a whole and not 1 individual poster <ok>

The problem I have with your recent posts, Typical, is believing that a football club owner would be persuaded to bale out by a hostile fans' forum. Jiminez doesn't strike me as being that sort of sensitive type, OK I don't know him, but his court cases and his ruthlessness in dealing with Ai rman Brown etc. suggest he is pretty hard-headed.

It was not so much what was said but by who. Given that they were ploughing up to 2/3 hundred grand a month of their own cash into a club, whose fans were just giving them grief. These fans then suddenly formed a trust, that was clearly designed to create all sorts of difficulties for the board, be it putting a charge on the valley or moaning that a toilet was closed, continually bitching, would you want to stay? Your own cash???? and all that grief?? No thanks. IMO they also had that snake Muzza who they could not shake off, he clearly is sniffing around for his money and IMO would feed the cardigans all sorts who would then post it on CL and then Dick P would post it on here. The backroom staff was completely disloyal to Slats and also leaked any info out, putting the club and its dealings at risk. I do not blame them for leaving in fact I would have gone months ago and sold the club to gypsies.

There are a lot of fans who should be hanging their heads in shame this month.

"would then post it on CL and then Dick P would post it on here".

Don't worry Typical, I will not be posting anymore on here. Frankly I am pissed off with the personal abuse from you. I really can't be arsed any longer.

Ps I get a lot of information from other sources ie someone at the club, but you keep on marking things up to suit your agenda.

    Plumb has left the building.

They also refused to back their manager in terms of investment in the squad, which can only mean either they had no money or they didn't trust Sir Chris' ability in the transfer market. This would make sense, because Sir Chris' unique relationship with the fans would cause a huge backlash if they sacked him. You don't blame them for leaving, but it still seems like nothing more than conjecture to assume that this situation actually drove them out, or do you have hard evidence?

My own opinion on this thread is that I agree with Typical's sentiments 101%, but that he is wrong to single out dick plumb, who is a consistently good poster (even though dicky and I disagree about Powell).

I will be buying a large bag of popcorn and a pair of 3D glasses on the day that "Sir" Chris gets sent down the road.

The howls of faux anguish from our Blue Collar, Flatulent East Terrace Middle Class Angst Brigade will be priceless <cheers>

You answered your own question. The 'fans' would have expected a renewal of Stevie Wonder's contract even if the club were relegated such was their group mentalness. A dismissal would drive more wedges into the relationship between board and fans and given Bovrilbloke and his cronies more sticks to beat them with. IMO Slater wanted to sack Powell months ago but was worried about falling Bovril sales, backlashes, and given that they were caught in this dilemma it was he goes or I go. They went. I also do not regard dealing in 50 players ' a refusal to back their manager' they knew he was a pillock. I can only offer you what I heard from someone unconnected to CAFC but with connection to a company with Slats, who said about CAFC fans "there an ungrateful bunch of c..ts"

CAFC were a failing business model and that was arrested under Slats and Jimi. That is the unacceptable fact that so many want you to forget.

I am afraid that DP was flying the company flag to much for me to ignore him. His modus operandi was simple, ignore the issues and seek help from the mothership if things get a bit dicey. Simply saying"bollox and s++te hardly helped my composure.

Not that I necessarily disagree with you, typical, but surely we were still a failing business model under Slater and Jiminez? We were still losing money, and will still lose money under RD.

I don't follow your continual ranting against CL. I go on there for information and match updates from time to time, though I prefer it on here. There's a lot of people on CL, so the debates tend to get drawn out, whereas this fórum is a lot like a bunch of mates sitting in the pub.
However, the larger numbers on CL mean there's all sorts of opinión on there, and everything from the takeover to the new signings to CP (should he stay or should he go) gets opinions from every angle. Sorry mate, but to sort of classify CL as a block 'Charlton Trust, CP forever' or whatever your personal take is on them is, is simply wrong. You can't pigeonhole that many people so easily. They're Charlton fans like the rest of us on here, and the sniping thing is silly, if you want my opinión.
Further, your Reading of DP difers from mine, as the impression I've always had of him is that he's simply putting his opinions, the same as you, me, Volly or Ponders. The 'call back to the mothership' thing......sorry, I don't see it. I respect your opinión on the previous owners, thoug I agree with those who think they were desperate to see as they were losing money and their cash back up had gone, but you seem very keen to paste other supporters with weird motives and agendas which don't really stand up.<peacedove>

And no, I've no facts to back that up with, it's all my personal view!

All Dickp has done is to insult your posts, Typical, nothing like the personal dog's abuse (literally) that you've thrown at him. Another aspect to this situation is that this take-over may well be for the long-term benefit of Charlton, despite the hysteria of the last few days. I said last week that I felt optimistic about Charlton's future for the first time for ages; well I might be wrong but hey, the man who never made a mistake never made anything. Roland has received a lot of abuse over the last few days but if he goes in the huff over it wouldn't that be something:shocked:
