Well said. I don't have a problem for players wanting to move for money. I'm sure a lot of us would. And also, there is a common misconception that players who move for money won't give their all for the club. I think is wrong - look at Man City, Chelsea etc and you will find top class players, getting paid sh*t loads but still acting professional and putting in the effort.

Salah was probably our number one target as it was felt that he had comparable ability to Kono and could be signed for less. Dnipro are owned by some rich Ukrainian guy so aren't hurting for cash, therefore can afford to demand more for Kono. I'm inclined to believe that we did raise our offer for Salah when Chelsea came in but at that point he'd decided to go there. That would explain why Rodger's refused to give up on Salah even after Chelsea's bid was accepted and a verbal agreement in place.
