He'd be a nice singing. Another winger to add some competition for Sterling who is the only real one we have at the club atm (not counting Moses). Guess it would probably signal the end of Assaidi's career with us so can see him being sold in the summer to Stoke or back to Holland for probably a similar amount we paid for him (£3m).

Echo everyone else though, if we had the option of only 1 player I'd rather it be a DM but if BR doesn't think anyone is available in this window and we were going to go for Kono in the summer anyway, then why not get him sorted now then we don't risk having to compete with more rivals in the summer and can concentrate on the other areas like FB and DM.

I know we really need a DM, but for me we also need a versatile forward. Send Moses back (no real loss) and we only really have Sterling (of any real note) as a natural wide outlet - I think it's a position we really need to strengthen sooner rather than later.
 
IF we do get this Kono lad, does anyone else think he'll be the only signing or may we get one more in?

Think 4 areas are.

Left back
right back
versatile winger
Defensive midfielder

Then possibly another CB to partner Sakho long term

Those top 4 would be a priority but we're never going to sign all 4 of them in this window, so as long as we get 1 then would be decent business. Can then assess in the summer and strengthen the other areas in order to help push for a title challenge and make the knock out stages of the CL.
 
Don't believe that spurs are hijacking, just smacks of lazy journalism. Plus Sherwood sounded seriously genuine and glum when he said no signings in his post match interview
 
If it comes down to us or Spurs just on the club (I know they have London but why anyone would want to live there astounds me) then he really should choose us

Yeah and also I cant see Sherwood lasting, I know hes started well but imo he'll get found out
