yesh complete ****...lucky they score first... what a moron... then he directly contradicts himself saying all teams try to score first.

ergo he just plain think everything lfc do is jammy....every team we play is on an off day

can't wait to see spuds put to the sword tonight. Off night? spurs to get 6 whacked past them.

Indeed. Obviously pissed off they sold their best player and pissed most of the money on a load of ****e, yet we have managed to keep our best player for the time being.

He is a spud so it's to be expected.

for the record you could take.... 3 pens won games 1-0 in the league = 6 points extra for the spuds.the other epn was v stoke and that was the first goal in a 3-0 win... i'd be a bit rich to take those 2 points off

    however.

spurs would be 8th with newcastle if they had not got them

Seriously, how good was Coutinho last night? Possibly his best game for LFC - definitely his best game this season. <ok>

Based on his performance last night he must be worth £50 million now if Mata is worth £37 m. Unfortunately, before last night he has been mediocre this season. Let's hope its a return to form because playing like that would give us a serious edge in the race for CL

We were awesome, I thought even if Everton get one we pissing all over their defence anfd within first 10 mins you could tell we were going to win :)

I lost £ 30 though as I had both teams to score but won it back tonight and more by City beating Spuds

    Yeah I know, oh well

Woulld've been great for him to get his hat trick obv

    -----------

Daniel Sturridge bluntly agrees he deserved to be on the end of a Luis Suarez rant during Liverpool's Merseyside derby romp.

The Reds' England striker was treated to a full-blown strop from the South American, who raged for more than a minute after his SAS partner chose to selfishly seek a hat-trick rather than pass to him when he was better-placed.

And even though the game was long out of dejected Everton's reach by then, Sturridge reckons he can't blame Suarez for exploding... because no one was more angry than himself!

"When I missed that chance, Luis was obviously fuming with me, and I don't blame him... I was fuming with myself too. I think everyone was fuming with me," said the 24-year-old.

"You could see I was still disappointed when I came off because obviously I was also disappointed with missing a penalty at the Kop end.

"At the same time we have won 4-0 at home against Everton, so really I shouldn't be too down on myself."

Sturridge was also treated to some quiet, but pointed, words of advice from his manager Brendan Rodgers after showing his disappointment when substituted with 20 minutes still left in the game.

Rodgers spoke afterwards of the player 'respecting his team-mates and the fans' by accepting the decision of the manager, and for his part Sturridge immediately apologised for his apparent show of frustration.

And he explained that even though he was annoyed at the time over his failure to write another chapter in the rich derby history with a hat-trick, he knows more than anyone it is the team's top four cause that should be the only priority.

"Of course I was a bit disappointed not to score a hat-trick, because that really would have been the icing on the cake - I was frustrated with the way I took the penalty," Sturridge added with a rueful smile.

"Sometimes you score, sometimes you get a hat-trick, sometimes you don't get anything - and overall it was a good night for me. But really the most important thing was the game and the result, and in the end everyone was happy with that."

The derby triumph opens up an important gap between bitter rivals Everton in the race for fourth place, and for Sturridge, that's the most important aspect of a dramatic night.

"It's a massive three points, it's massive for the fans, who get the bragging rights now and that's what it is all about," he said. "At the end of the day it's just all about the team - it really is a case of the team being all important. If we do that, if we work that way, we will get the results."

Despite the spat with Suarez - whose desire to drive on the team even when the game was over should surprise no one - Sturridge has clearly grown as his partnership with the South American has flourished.

And he revealed that he has never felt more at home or enjoyed his football more.

Sturridge continued: "Personally, I think the boys give me the license to do what I do and we have been working tirelessly as a unit. I am just really enjoying my football at the moment.

"The love I have for this club just grows and grows more and more each day and I can only thank the fans for embracing me in the way that they have."
