The same as usually happens when a player is offered more money by another club. How Bournemouth can afford to up his wages is another question, especially when their gates are half ours.

Would rather not have to face this knobhead on Saturday.

We continue with our age old tradition of selling our best players, especially in January, only this time the plan seems to be, not only does RD get the money, he'll get to spend less of it, because our manager will be told what players he'll get to use from the Library...

Somehow I can't see a line of respected managers jostling to get to the front of the queue to work under this part of the "vision"...

Another takeover, yet the predictability continues...

    Its all very odd.

Roly had three weeks and all the advice he needed from Muzza on Kermo, Stephens and Smith and yet he allows them to leave or at least at 4.46pm be in a position to leave. So nobody can blame the past board for this. Roly has not yet sacked Chris Powell and punched Muzza in the face, and seemingly accepts relegation and ultimately losing money, so what are we to think?

Is this some sort of Amazon type tax dodge? Lose all your money in the UK to avoid paying tax in Belgium, Germany and wherever else?

something more than fishy going on here.

I'm already disliking this board now, Kermit is one of the few players who seems to always give his all, we need players like that in this relegation battle.
I preferred Tweedledum and Tweedledee, least we knew they had no money and that was why we don't strengthen, this new board simply want us for Standard to get game time, I'd understand Powell resigning (although plenty think that would be a good thing) but as it's been said, don't see many managers going for it.

The truth is the last board were fantastic in achieving what they did, they got slagged off by all and sundry (although not this writer) and sold us out of frustration or spite, but not lack of money as rumoured.. They did the equivalent of selling your house to a load of bikers just to get back at your neighbours. Some off the cardigans should have kept their big gobs shut and have caused all this. What goes around comes around!

What a crock of ****.The last owners left because they most definitely ran out of money. Kevin Cash pulled out eighteen months to two years ago. Whose fault was it that over twenty players contracts ran down, the previous regime. Since when did the previous regime listen to Charlton fans? Your last two sentences are risible, stupid nonsense. They sold because they could not afford to keep it going. What has happened at the Club over the past few years has come back to slap us in the face.

I don't agree with selling our best players while involved in a relegation fight, but they obviously thought that 500,000 for Kermy was too good to turn down.

I respected the last board for breaking tradition, and not selling our best players, but lost all faith in them after promotion, when little to no investment was given for squad building...

I had an inkling there might be trouble ahead after hearing Murray in that video say, "we have a good future ahead of us", because the last time he got anything right was when one of his cheap gambles paid off, with the employment of Curbs..

If there is no obvious improvement by the end of this transfer window, I'm done with this crap for the remainder of the season... :emoticon-0173-middl

Rumour has it that Powell didn't know about this one... any truth and this is simply the board being too tight to pay off Powell, if they didn't want them should have shifted him last night. Powell to resign and us to get the Standard Liege under21 manager as replacement

    Board are a joke already

Santa Claus only works one day a year so he couldn't buy us, so we have to make do with the only one who did.

As much as I am angry at the board and stuff for going over Powell's head...500k for a 32 year old where we are the only club he does well at is good money... but still a shocking decision and I already want a takeover

Our results without Kermit are marginally better than our results with him, although the difference is tiny.

This news has really hit me hard, he is my favourite Charlton players I have seen in the flesh but only been going for about 6 years, but the manner in which the fans, players and staff are being treated is leaving a very sour taste in my mouth and you can't blame people for wanting to leave the club. It is a shame as I feel much worse about the club at this moment in time then when I was when we got relegated from to League 1, as I can't see any positives from this regime at the moment, we will get a better picture at the end of the transfer window and I really hope there will be something positive from the club during that time.
