Dan, can you keep criticising Vucinic because if you do he's bound to score ****loads for Saints. After all, Lovren was going to be a defensive liability wasn't he? <whistle>

Saviour is the wrong word, because we don't need saving - however we could still do with inspiration if we want to push for Europe this year. It's not out of our reach. Alternatively, if we're happy to just go for 9th this year, there's no point bringing anyone in.

Not criticising him at all, he's a very good footballer.

I'd never heard of Lovren, so everything I said about him turned out to be true. :)

Hmmm, him and Adebayor on the same team could be interesting.

He's just pointing out he's not really a striker. Which is true.

That's what working in an office does for you. In 2 months time you'll stop with the insensibility of supporting Saints and start supporting Man City.

I don't see a point in bringing Vučinić. He's a great player, but do we need him until the end of the season? It's not as if we're fighting to achieve a certain goal, we probably won't move from this position on the table. And he's not much of a long term option considering he's about 31 years old.

    I'd look elsewhere.

The Italian league is quite defensive though.

I suppose that's true that we don't need Vucinic. For me, I'm just more excited about the fact that we could possibly get that much money for Osvaldo. Vucinic is just the bonus, really wouldn't care if he never played a game. But I guess if someone is willing to pay more than Juventus that would be fine with me as well.

We can look for a long term option in the summer. What we need right now is a temporary fix for the Osvaldo situation.

The point is that he's basically being offered to us for free for the rest of the season in a swap for Osvaldo. I think we'd have to consider any player on those terms!

I guess there's no downside of bringing him, I wouldn't mind.

Way I look at it as well. Even if he is only decent he gives us more time to fill the gap properly.
