When visiting the 'death' camps, ask to see the sports fields, libraries, swimming pools, football pitches, theatres, the paintings painted by the inmates that don't depict life in the camps you are led to believe. They will show you, if you ask, but only if you ask.
I have seen the rather small 'swimming pool', which was initially installed for fire-fighting purposes. However, the pool was eventually used for officers and some administrative staff (Jews) as a recreational facility. To suggest that this pool was used by the regular prisoners is ludicrous. Again, the luxury facilities listed in Tiger's posts were for the officers, guards and senior admin officers. The tour of Auschwitz is extensive and covers most areas, but if you wish to wander off the path you will see everything without limitation.
What evidence do you have to prove the swimming pool was originally a firefighting reservoir and that it was never used by the inmates? When exactly were the three diving boards installed?
Did you know that the openings in the roof of the gas chamber at Auschwich where the Nazis were supposed to have put the zyclon-b were added after the war?
