So pleased for some of our players last night.

Whatever you think of the ability of some of our players; is anyone else pleased for players like Kev, whitts, Hudson and Marshall for sticking with us all those years and being able to play at Old Tafford last night?

Can't quite understand that philosophy about sticking with us - they got paid didn't they?

There is one thing for certain and no disrespect intended to any of them - if they'd had a better offer on the table from somewhere else, we'd have been hard pressed to keep them. The fact is they were probably all on reasonably lucrative contracts by "man in the street" standards.

That may sound a bit cynical, but this is football we're talking about, not a religious calling.

Might have been a swan song for a few, maybe a last chance to see what they are made of.

I thought both Bellers and Hudson had a poor game last night, but we have to remember who we were playing, Man Utd are still a very very good side. We will become a good side, lets hope its in quick time to get us away from the drop zone.

I meant more in contrast to players like Bothroyd, Johnson, Burke etc.

Yes they get paid, but you can't pay someone to be happy. I'm sure they all had opportunities to go but, perhaps I'm trying to make everything seem rosy, they felt at home and genuinely wanted this club to do well. Especially after falling at the final hurdle so many times.

Certainly loyalty is worth a lot but in return these players must perform at this level, I have nothing against anyone personally but they are judged on how they play.

Personally, I thought Bellamy had a good game, especially in the second half when he started drifting about the park more. A couple times him and FC were on different wavelengths, but overall I thought he did ok.

Agree with this - Bellamy hasn't got he pace, but he chases and harries, covers for others, organises, usually does the sensible things well and finds space. Thought he had a decent game last night. Trouble is people expect him to be spectacular still - and he isn't - but he brings his brain to every game.

Tbf i thought the same as ronny he wasnt in his position when the ball came in because he decided to be a left back and he made a lot of wayward passes but thinking back he did link up eith young declan a couple of times
