Tonight the Chairboys welcome Pompey to Buckinghamshire for their first competitive game at Adams Park and with a much improved performance in their last two games we will be hopeful of ending our drought of victories in 2014 and achieve our first home win for over three months. I do not expect much in the way of changes to the starting line up but do expect Jordan Mustoe and Reece Styche to make their home debuts and also Anthony Jeffreys at some point tonight (sooner rather than later Gaz) I was looking forward to going to this game but had forgotten a pre arranged social meeting and will not be back in time so I will have to wait for the Stanley game to see the newcomers when hopefully we will be sitting mid table COYB
I see Portsmouth have only won one away game all season so we may just end our dreadful home form. A scrappy 1-0 please!
we need to turn around this poor home form sooner or later, if we play like we did the first hour or so on sat we should beat them - COYB!!! team wise I wouldn't be surprised to see it unchanged, but would be good if gaz bought in Jeffery for Arnold
I just noticed that, first time this season I think. I think the experience at the back is a good idea.
Sounds like we are playing good football and piling on the pressure. Why haven't any Pompey players had a yellow card for faking a foul? Seems like it's going to be one of those nights. A break and it's all over.
full time - getting concerened about relegation for the first time this season now, given that playing well doesn't even seem to work
Two poor teams which made a reasonable game & Pompey got the break with there only attempt on goal. Could'nt get the goal in the first half & then ran out of ideas after the penalty. Heaven knows why the ref gave it from behind the goal even the Pompey players looked bemused. Would not be surprised to be playing Pompey in the conference next season.
just seen the penalty and the disallowed goal - 2 big decisions going against us, the disallowed goal is one that you sometimes see given sometimes not and the penalty looked soft we must be due staying up the last day of the season in the 15th minute of 3 added on after a goal kick from the torquey keeper bounces off the back of the referee and rolls into the net alluding the keeper, who suddenly slips over on a dry surface but manages to scamble it back, before the linesman incorrectly deems it to have crossed the line. that would make the luck even itself up a bit!
I did, unfortunately the ref got this one correct and iit didn't cross the line, quite how nobody got a touch I don't know!
