Just reading what Gus has to say in the Echo today, the next 3 games could make or break our season starting tonight with Stoke at home, followed by the scum then the cod heeds of Hull at home.

    http://www.sunderlandecho.com/sport...-three-games-are-key-for-sunderland-1-6403015

Personally I'd be happy with 6 points from that lot, but a win tonight would set us right up for the scum and I reckon the way we've been playing lately a win in all 3 games is achievable.

A win tonight would see us finally climb out of the bottom 3, unless West Ham pull off a miracle against Chelsea and that will put us within striking distance of Hull. Anything against the scum will be welcome although I've took us for a 2-1 win and think we'll at least get a point.

Anyone else happy with 6 or 7 points?

6 will do me. Away from home at Sid James, 3 point is certainly not a given. I'm demanding 3 points from our bread and Butter home games though.

Have to agree 100% - If we win tonight and against Hull then great. If we get anything from Newcastle it'll be a bonus

I think that 7pts is very realistic, two of the three teams current form isn't good. :)

One game at a time. If we win tonight there will be less pressure going into Saturday. Point there and the pressure is totally off for Hull.

Of course the opposite effect can come into play with defeats.

I would be very happy with 6-7pts over the next 3 games.

Like what Gus has said the next 3 will make or break our season that should be enough to get the lads up for it.

If we can get 9pts I would be as happy as a pig in ****.

I'd be overjoyed with 7 pts however I'm only expecting 5. Draw tonight, draw the derby and beat hull

7 is realistic. Although how we get those 7pts is also important.

A draw in either of the home games isnt good enough. Its like over christmas when we beat Everton and drew against norwich and cardiff. Yes 5 points from those three games was excellent, but Everton was the wrong game to win. If you catch my drift.

6 would be a good return surely. If you don't get at least 4 it would be a worry though as after the Hull(h) game your away fixtures look a touch ominous and it will be nip and tuck from then on and (i suspect) a test of the resilience of your squad to bounce back after tough away games to take the points you need at home.

As regards Newcastle being 'out of form' there's not much between Sunderland and Newcastle in league form its just the cups where we've really let ourselves down.

5 and unbeaten would do me, but 7 would be mint given our next few games after these 3.

When we are within sniffing distance of climbing out of the bottom 3 we seem to let ourselves down! We seem to be going 2 steps forward and one step back in the league at the mo! I'm hoping tonight will be 2 steps forward! I'll worry about the next 2 games after tonight!

    Norwich..Vile..Southampton

We just have to do better...Southampton was pivotal for me and such a disappointment, we were lucky to come away with a draw.

We just have to do better, 6/7 wins come on boys then we are safe

anywhere between 4 and 6 would keep us in the fight and get us out of the bottom three once we do we wont be going back under Gus

The team are no longer strangers to one another now and are the form team of the lower half. Nothing less than 7 points would be good enough, and perfectly achievable, I can see us taking all 9 given events at NUFC.

This is my lower-case scenario. Anything more and I'd be very happy, especially a win tonight to rid us of the 'playing ****e at home' hoodoo

Norwich and Villa were the real dissappointing games, Saints was okay considering the good comeback from a shocking first half. It's time we started a game on top and finished the ****er well and truly on top..
