Tom ince is doing nothing wrong, he is merely getting the best deal he can for himself and his family and to his credit has come out and said this. People must remember to players and managers alike it's just a job, they are not supporters of the club. I for one hope he opts to join us as feel he could offer us a lot.
Short term thinking if he's just looking for the best deal he can get. As his dad is also his manager they should be thinking of his long term career and where is best for him to climb up a step or two. The way they are going about at the moment makes Tom look like a right money grabbing prima donna.. Ffs how would Stoke or Sunderland be good for the lads career?
Latest is that Stoke and Hull have pulled out of the running for Ince.... http://www.clubcall.com/stoke-city/hughes-pulls-plug-on-winger-bid-1703073.html
Now THIS is the type of player that Swansea should be signing! Only detracting point is he rejected Cardiff for family reasons, but His dad was boss at Blackpool then. If he moves to further his career, of all clubs mentioned, Swansea is the obvious choice! A better Scott Sinclair!
Fact is that Tom Ince is as good as most of our current wingers, with added potential to be an International star. He knows how to score goals. No matter what anyone says, he would be an asset to our squad. Onto the OP, it doesn't seem to me like he's got a big ego. It doesn't even seem to me like he's looking short-term. He is looking long-term. It seems to me like he's being guided by his extremely wise father. What would I do if I was in Tom Ince's shoes? Considering I have 6 months left at a Championship club where my father, the manager, has just been sacked; considering that I know Premier League clubs want me; and considering I can leave for free in the summer, meaning that my new club gets a good deal: - I would go and look at the facilities of all the interested clubs to see which club would offer the best working environment on a day-to-day basis. - I would go and speak to all of the manager's to see what plans they have for me within the squad, not just during, but beyond the 6 month loan spell. - I would go and speak to the chairman of each of the clubs to see what the long term ambition of the club is. To do this, I would make a formal visit to each of the clubs which would be viewed as the professional and correct approach. I would make my decision based on the team that I'm most likely to fit into balanced against the match day squad that I'm most likely to get into. Then I'd play my heart out for that club during the 6 month spell because, if I don't, I don't have a club in the summer. If it was just about money, he wouldn't have bothered travelling around the country and visiting all the clubs. He'd get his agent to draw up the offers and would point at the one with the most money - no travel, no talking, no hassle. As far as I'm concerned, if Tom Ince chooses us, it will be the first true sign that the club's new training facilities and planned stadium expansion have started to have the desired effect. It will be the first bit of proof to me that, when directly compared to other Premier League clubs on an infrastructure level, we are finally at the right level. We have the playing style and a good board, but if we want players to choose to come all the way to West Wales into little ol' Swansea, the pretty ****ty city, we needed the right infrastructure, and I hope that Ince will choose us and confirm that.
The Trouble is these two went through all this 6 months back, and Cardiff stumped up 8 Million only to have their time wasted, and the circus is rolled out all over again, indecisive comes to mind to say the least, I really don't get all this if it's just a short term move, talk about over the top, what a pathetic circus!..................
If not for the money or deal why Stoke and Sunderland? You have to admit those are odd choices if you want to show off toms abilitys.
Agree PGN , I like biggerkidz take on it , however/but no one seems to be tearing a path to the Inces door at this moment do they ? I suspect ol' papa Ince is wanting a bit too much say in the matter, hence my comment, and for that reason no one is buying .
My thoughts too, is he doing all this in the hope that if he gets himself in the shop window enough, a top team will come in for him? Are Liverpool still interested? One never ending story...............
We don't need Ince, we have never needed ince and we don't want ince. He is a big time charlie who would not last 5 minutes in our dressing room before someone like chico would chin the guy...He thinks he is better than he is and we can do without that. He is trying his best to get back to liverpool but they are not interested as they got rid of him in the first place and he is not in their league and he is not in our league either so we should not pander for him.....If he does come then there is nothing we can do about it but i can see trouble ahead if he does...
yep I agree Dai. The lad will need to keep his massively over-inflated ego in check if he does end up here. And its more likely that he will be playing for us according to the bookies. I also heard that Hull, Palace and Sunderland have used up their domestic loan limit and Stoke have pulled out so that doesn't leave him with many options.
We want Ince we need Ince, he's a lovely fella who will do wonders for team spirit. He's not trying to go back to Liverpool why would he, he wants to move forward. He'do wonders for our club he's a terrific player I see nothing but good times ahead.
what talent ???? championship talent you mean ! I would not waste my money on a big time charlie that gets off on clubs that are interested in him that he thinks he can keep them waiting for a simple yes or no...He is no premiership big player who can dictate terms because he is that good is he...I hope he fails to get any club and ends up fatherless back at Blackpool where someone else can adopt the twat if they are brave enough next season...
