I don't particularly agree with that either, though. With a bit of intelligence, manpower and organisation anyone can make a truckload of money for a chosen charity. There are people working their bollocks off day in, day out for a massive chunk of their lives for charities that get no recognition at all. It's quite sad, really.
Regardless of services to sport and charity work etc, as manager of Liverpool I think he should be strung up by his nads then beaten by angry dwafs
With the greatest of respect, he should be seen as a great ambassador of the game and nothing more...so far.
What he's done for footballing reasons. Lets see a winner of 3 European Cups...More than ANY Man United player ever. The only player manager to win the League and Cup double. One of a small few that have managed two English sides to the title.Liverpool and Blackburn. One of a small few that also includes Bob Paisley to have played for and managed the same club to the title. 102 caps foe Scotland. 30 goals for Scotland a record held with Dennis Law. How's that for starters.
Not enough, i'm afraid. And the fact that Bob Paisley has won the league with two different english clubs has jeff all to do with it!
UIR. I was refering to collectively. Those collective achievements along with his services to football and to charity must warrant a knighthood.Brooking did far less and was knighted. Apart from score the winner in a FA Cup final, what did he ever do?
