We need Spurs to do us a favour now. They been looking a tad resurgent since the Tea boy left so hopefully they can beat $hitty and get the 3 points, which will also put them further ahead of United in the race for 4th!
We will be trailing again after next week in my opinion. Even if Spurs get a result against City tonight, I can see us at best grabbing a point against City. Arsenal will surely beat Palace. But then at least the title is in our own hands after that. Luke Shaw played terrific for Southampton last night, and papers state he will snub United for a move to his boyhood team. Just brill
I've been ignoring all other games aside from Liverpool's pasting of Everton - most important thing is that we collect our three points!
Getting a win at the Etihad would be a great achievement but I would be over the moon with a point tbh. Thats why its even more important that City drop points tonight when they are away to a decent team. Also I wouldnt be so sure on Palace being a banker for Arsenal. Pulis has made them difficult to score against and Pulis knows how to frustrate Arsenal and tear lumps out of them. I can see that being a 0-0 draw.
You forget... Arsenal are the masters at beating the dross but never gets points against the top teams. We'll beat Palace. Probably 2-0 as that's the most we ever seem to score nowadays in the league. We'll then get no more than 2 points against Liverpool and United (possibly only 1). Then beat Sunderland, Stoke and Swansea... then not win any of the next four league games after that.
I don't believe everything. But it is more likely that Shaw won't be a Southampton player at the start of the 2014/15 season. And if he were to leave then Chelsea is the most realistic destination for him.
As is dismissing everything you hear based on the hope of you keeping one of your best players. It's inevitable he'll be leaving at some point.
Just had another look now and not really sure where you're reading that. There just seems to be a bit of an annoyance over a slowly growing injury list forcing us to play Arteta and Flamini together.
Looking more and more inevitable now. Normally I'd think the lad should stay where he is, getting game time and improving etc. However I think he'd be a first teamer at either Chelsea or United next year and no player will turn that down.
Plus we would knock 7m off his just for letting Cole go. Wage difference would be huge, playing ability not so
Not quite February yet. They'll beat Palace but after that wouldn't be surprised to see them batling for 3rd/4th.
I honestly don't care what City do to tonight, I just want us to win tonight and then it's damage limitation at the Etihad.
