The onlly thing I will say - and this is not meant to be cocky in any way - is that both automatic promotion and, indeed, the title, are now very much ours to lose i.e both are in our own hands if we have the determination and strength of character to see it through... I hope we have - and I think we currently have a really good balance in the squad as a whole ... Vardy is fast becoming the 'bargain' of the season (despite it being his second with us) ...
I don't think it's cocky to say "it's ours to lose", I definitely agree with you on that. Do you think our second-half capitulation last season has made us stronger this season? Also, we are only 5 points off of equalling our total for last season Snuck into the playoffs on 68 points...
We got 18 points from our last 18 games last season. Should we do the same again then we'll end on 81 points, Hull were promoted last season on 79.
Some people are saying we need 1.5 points per game now to go up comfortable, Burnley need more than 2 points a game to catch up.
I think NP has learnt from last season and has brought in some strong characters that make a collapse like last season very unlikely ... eg Wasil Phillips GTF and Hammond ... our 'backbone' is a lot stronger and Liam Moore and Jamie Vardy (and the resurgent Lloyd Dyer) have made huge differences ...
Yes, better than any soap opera. Queenie has gone from a manic aggressive to sucking it up but AKCJ still won't let him curl up on his slippers.
League is more stretched out this year, if Burnley keep pace and/or Derby go on another run, there could be 3 or 4 teams with over 80 points at the end of the season. Im not saying Hull got lucky last season ...... but Hull got lucky last season
The daft stat is that we are only two wins away from a higher points total than we finished with last season ... and that was worth a play-off spot!
