Heard he was having a head transplant and they were going to use Obertan's for it.

Having suffered from " cluster headaches " since the middle of October until last week I'd gladly have a head transplant, even Obertans' empty shell....<laugh>

We could do with him straight away after Remy was red-carded.

Surely he must be better than Cisse or Shola?

Agree 100%. However I wouldn't be at all surprised if Pards goes for his 'safe' (in Pard's view, not mine) option of Shola against Sunderland, with de Jong on the bench.

How on earth can we play de Jong before Shola against Sunderland?

It may be tricky as Ashley & Kinnear live on another world...

Watching the highlights last night and I saw Shola going nuts in the sending off and I thought:

'Shola, I know and you know that you are useless **** but the chances are you will probably start on Saturday so just take some of that passion and actually play well for the first time in years and try scoring a goal for the first time in the league in 13 months yeah? Cheers Shola'

This will never happen though.

To be honest, I'd pick Shola for this one 100%. It's likely his last ever Tyne/Wear derby, it's the one match where you're most likely to get a performance out of him and he'll give it absolutely everything. Blessing in disguise that we'll be going 4-5-1 with Shola up top, mark my words. If Sunderland think we're beat that works in our favour - the team last night fcking crucified Norwich for 70 or 80 minutes, I remember one comment from the BBC scrolling text saying "if Shearer had been playing this match he would have had 6 or 7 by now" and it wasn't halftime. Be nice to get Le Gouff back in, but I was really happy with Sammy - tricks on that kid are rare, if he was foreign they'd be fawning over him.

Sammy was one of the bright spots of the game, once again he showed amazing skill at going past defenders.

But when Shola does actually give 100% he usually gets on the wrong side of the ref and gives away endless free kicks, if not getting sent off.

Cisse is injured anyway. But yes, I don't think many people have got any faith left in them that he will come up with the goods.

Not for one second do I believe Cisse is finished or lost his ability.

Strikers are all about confidence and goal-scoring rhythm. If Cisse was the main man and given the game time he would score goals again, no doubt.

You don't prove it and then lose it overnight – BUT whether he needs a move and fresh impetus to kickstart his career is another thing.
It'll be clear to the player that he is not thought of as top choice now and he's struggling to get the pitch time he needs.

It's all about his motivation to turn things around at Newcastle, with his nose doubtlessly still out of joint about the Wonga shirt nonsense...

I would love it if Cisse managed to turn it on again. I just don't have any real expectation that he will - the rut he is in is reminiscent of the Grand Canyon.
