If stevanage had played tonight at home and beat crewe, we would be propping up the division. Think this next four games will tell us if we are going down to see the gas next season. Think we are on a hiding to nothing. Those players need to take a long long long hard look in the mirror. Do they really deserve their wages at present.
If we play like we did against Stanley for the rest of the season, you won't be joining us because we'll be in the ****ing Conference.
The fact you can lose and still have breathing space from the relegation zone shows you won't get relegated Us on the other hand we lose one game we always dig ourselves deeper to league 2..
Starting to think we don't have the players, yet again, who are up for the fight and we will probably go down. We have been saying for years that we don't seem capable of attracting players that will fight for the shirt and every day that goes by I start wondering why I even bother, when clearly they don't. In all my years of supporting City this is certainly my lowest ebb because living in the colonies I was blissfully unaware of the previous plunge to the depths due to total lack of coverage of football over there and did not learn of the problems for quite some years after. Frankly I am disgusted by the happenings around Ashton Gate and in my winter spot in the Canaries I was expecting some razzing on our plight but remarkably everyone has been asking the same question as me and that is how the hell was this allowed to happen to Bristol City? Frankly I don't have the answers and clearly nobody else running our club has a clue either and if by some miracle we survive I am losing confidence in the owners moving this team forward as we all would hope. Unless we are capable of winning 3 from the next 4 games then I fear we are doomed so where did it all go so wrong?
For **** sake we just played the 2 teams destined for promotion at their grounds. Had it been Stevenage and Crewe we just both lost too then yes I would be worried but it was obvious we would get nothing from these games, They are out of the way now and we don't have to go their again this season, unlike others around us. We'll be ok. We WON'T get relegated this season.
This is like groundhog day again.! ****ing about with the side just when it was settling down. new players having to be bedded in and not really improving things and players that can do a bit on the bench (Burns Reid etc.) And, are we really saying "we shouldn't expect to be beating the likes of 'Brentford'... ??? End of January again and people saying "we wont go down".!!! I've heard it all before somewhere.
Come the end of Feb we may all be saying it Shiny........that month will make or break our season for sure.
I'm with you Shiny, I'm worried but don't think we will go down either, don't listen to Jeff below he has a broken nail and thinks his toe will fall off
Judge us over the next 8 games. Whatever happens, its going to be as tight as a duck's arse in flight
Let's keep some perspective here. Things going the right way under Cotterill - before this week we were unbeaten in 6 league games. This week we have played 2 of the top 3 away from home - not many teams have got anything at those venues
Whats that got to do with it?, Will your positivity ensure we stay up and our manager picks players in their correct positions then..??
Thats pretty rich from someone who has called for at least two of our most recent managers to be sacked?? When it suits eh....
SC has not moved us up the league, still sat in the bottom four since his tenure. He has had players. Under the bridge i fully understand but are we really better than when SOD was here position wise. Said i would back SC when he was appointed, and said i would sit on the fence regards his capabilities. At present he has moved players out of position that were doing okay to accomadate signings. All looking a bit of a mess at present. As said these next four games will give us a very good indication of where we will be come the end.
