Flamini getting sent off and missing three games was bad enough, but now that Ramsey is out for another month or so, our problems in midfield got a lot worse. With the all big games coming up, we needed the numbers and now we are struggling. Wilshere is the only real CM we have left, and we can't really rely on him to play three or four games in a row. Rosicky can do a job in CM, then you have Chamberlain, but playing him in midfield against the likes of Liverpool,Man Utd and Bayern would be a huge risk. Just our luck that when we approach a huge period in our season, our injuries start to mount up.
I do think we're overreacting a bit. Ramsey out is a problem and I hope he recovers fast. But Chambo can suffice against Palace, and Jack and Rozza should be back for the heavy run (worst case scenario we'll play a weaker side against Bayern)
Not really, we're missing 2 of our best players in Walcott-Ramsey, and now Flamini is out for 3 games, and this all before a very tough round of fixture coming up. We've also heard nothing about Rosicky, so who even knows when he's back...No Ramsey, Flaimini, and Rosicky available for midfield= big problems.
Wilshere should be back Sunday, hoping we get good news on Rosicky too...And hopefully, Ramsey's set back isn't that bad, and he won't be out for 4-6 weeks.
His leg break aside, Ramsey is not one to normally pick up that many injuries, so the timing on this one really does suck.
Gedion Zelalem anyone? Would be classic Wenger if he threw him into one of these games. Maybe the cup game against Pool.
Anyway, **** it, no point worrying about stuff like this. We are top of the league (still) and have some huge games to look forward that mean something for once. This is what every football fans wants and we should just enjoy the ride.
Wenger has said that Ramsey has had a small set back,he won't be fit for the Palace game but Wenger made no mention of 4/6 weeks out
Flamini will be suspended for 4 games, not 3, so he misses all 3 big games of Liverpool twice, and United. Seriously, what a ****ing idiot.
We just need a player or two. Prior to Christmas when almost everyone was fit (bar Sanogo) most people thought we needed a new face or two, particularly up front. Now we're light in midfield too. Oxlade-C just needs to be given game time in CM. Arteta and Flamini and just not good enough together.
I don't think it's panic stations just yet. We still have Cazorla, OXO, Arteta, Wilshere and Frimpong? who can play in the central positions. Though losing both Ramsey and Flamini is a blow. The players need to step up.
