    Agreed.
Some people call it ''Arrogance'' others call it ''competiveness''.
As you said there never was a manager that that was successful that wasn't either.Even Carlo Ancellotti his own quiet way was arrogant.Maybe he lost it towards the end of his chelsea career. You can't lose your ''edge''.If Ferguson stopped being ''competitive'' he would quit.He thrives on competition. When Man City got all that money, some managers would have said '' Oh **** how are we going to compete with that''.Managers like Ferguson and Kenny thrive on the competition. If the front door is locked, they will open the back door.Thats what got them to where they are.

Kenny shouldnt get Knighted for charity work as many many more people have done much much more on that front.

I know it sounds bad but its true. Charity shouldnt be done in order to gain recognition.

B4F - I bet you almost put ' thread closed' then didn't you until you realised you were on the United forum <ok>

Also UR19 - whilst I don't disagree it is not just charity work but he sporting career ( services to sport ) and well as the genuine humanity he shown after Hillsborough - I don't think all or many managers would have done the same <ok>

He does deserve a knighthood for the work he did in helping the Hillsborough victims seeking justice.

    I think most would.

I also dont think he should be Knighted for it. What about the others who also did so much? then there is all those who have done so much charity work. Doesnt sit right with me.

    Now for football. yes.

    No on both counts UIR.

When "King" Kenny has devoted his entire life to charity work, or done as much as Fergie has done for English football, then maybe.

I mean yes he could get one.

Personally people have done much more for English football than kenny but at least if he did get one and it was for that it would be better than if it was for Charity.

I suppose. It would be quite the kick in the teeth to those who have done a ****e sight more for charity than Kenneth (there are plenty, before you all bleat on).

And I'd love to hear what he's done to deserve one for Football reasons.

I think that's a bit harsh mate. There are loads of people who have been knighted simply for making loads of money and then giving some of it to charity. Not many have invested the amount of time and emotional effort Dalglish did after the Hillsborough tragedy.
