Sorry PTF, but on this occasion I am siding with Tom too! That was a red. It was indeed a very entertaining game and hugely encouraging considering the calibre of our absences.
Can't argue with 2-2 against the league leaders. Katherina looked happy as well she might like this football lark after all. Another 30 mil in the next few days on the squad?
The more I see of the young players, the more I dream of genuine DIY success. Wouldn't it be something to finish top 6 with 50% homegrown players.
Think that's two points dropped but at this stage of the season any point against a top four team is a good one, and will be a very good result providing we go on to get the points we should do from our kinder upcoming fixtures.
Cracking atmosphere under the flood lights tonight. I was particularly impressed with the hour or so from Sam Gallagher, with a bit more experience he could very well fill the void that Lambert will inevitably leave in two or three years. That could also save us a small fortune.
Like most I would have taken a point before the game but after that first half when we made the league leaders look very ordinary, it really does feel like 2 points dropped. A couple of defensive lapses, but more importantly, not taking enough of the excellent chances we created cost us the win. My stream crashed while the sending-off happened so I can't comment but maybe Poch should have brought Guly on earlier? Interesting that the ref judged that both Adam and Guly dived but didn't book either. Great game though.
