I've already said you may see a discernable difference as a player if you played on ours one week and the Etihad the next, neither would I deny a team that uses wide players would benefit from a wider pitch and those the play through the middle not so much, I don't think it makes difference there. Not sure what we've learnt here...I haven't anyway! :)

I remember them finals well RDBD! :) and tired legs at the end were as much to do with the lush turf that sapped energy. I heard more comments about that than the size of it I think.

Our players seem to have buggered off all over the place over the weekend. Vertonghen went to Florence, Soldado went back to Spain and Chiriches was filmed absolutely pissed out of his head in Bucharest.

Excuse the bad porno music.
Not ideal preparation for playing City, is it?

It does not bode well.

I would probably be annoyed but it is quite funny. I thought Eastern Europeans could handle their drink.

I thought Vlad's antics were pretty funny.

Though I'll find it atrocious if he has a stinker tomorrow night.

I'd get smashed too if I was about to be made to look a mug on live TV by Aguero and co!

From the Beeb

Cheeky Vlad
Here's an interesting line from earlier - Tottenham manager Tim Sherwood has told Vlad Chiriches to produce a strong performance against Manchester City to shrug off the gossip surrounding a video which apparently showed him drunk in Budapest last weekend.

"I did see that, yes," said Sherwood. "I've fallen over in the snow before and all.

"He's had a weekend off and he's got to play well on Wednesday. No (he will not face a fine), he wasn't breaking any rules.

"For his own sake you wish he didn't (do it). He was unsteady on his legs by the looks of it; it must have been windy over there."

I figure having our CB falling down drunk a few days before meeting the side that beat us 6-0 earlier in the season bodes well. How could it not?

I thought they would use the opportunity to get some extra training in, or do something "team building" going away together. Still, I am not sure what works best for these players and trust that the club does. Perhaps it's better that they've had a chance to get back to their home for a couple of days. We will see!

If he takes a tumble like that every time a City player comes near him we might do okay...

Last time we played City i made the mistake of going on holiday and missing the game. Without my will the team slumped to an embarassing defeat. I'm sorry Spurs fans.
This time however i am not going on holiday until tomorrow, so i fully expect only to get mildly beaten. Good news day everyone!

I'm glad to hear it, I thought it was my fault for predicting that we would destroy them in the Spurs Prediction league. I feel better now. Let's hope that I feel even better tomorrow.

I'm actually looking forward to watching the game and I believe Spurs will win…Spurs will attack…and concede, but Spurs will prevail!

To dare is to do.

We should have enough about us to worry City and make a good game of it a win would be a bonus.

Lloris, Walker, Chiriches, Dawson, Rose, Lennon, Bentaleb, Dembele, Sigurdsson, Eriksen, Adebayor.
Subs: Friedel, Naughton, Capoue, Chadli, Holtby, Defoe, Soldado.

Sigurdsson or Eriksen on the left? Not what I'd have gone with. No holding player, which probably isn't a surprise to anyone any more, especially after Ferdinand's comments.

Gylfi took over from Chadli on the left last game, so I assume he'll be there this one. Sherwood seems alone among us in not being a big Chadli fan. Eiriksen in the free role, partnered with Ade, as he was last game (which is why it wasn't really a 4-5-1; more like a 4-4-1-1). It's the same way we finished against Swansea, so we're not changing a winning game, which I like. I worry whether Gylfi will have the speed he'll need to help Rose out on the left. I think Chadli's better in that role, though Gylfi adds more when we're attacking. Overall just what I expected.

City have a 19 game unbeaten run. We have to outwork them to have a chance, or get really lucky.

I hope Sigurdsson's playin in the middle but at the sametime I don't. Zabaleta and Navas will look to push us back down the left and Sigurdsson's never struck me as a good defender... then again Eriksen isn't either. **** decision from Tim, in my opinion. We all know Sherwood's a fan of Sigurdsson but he did **** all to earn a starting 11 spot against Swansea and both Chadli and Holtby are far better suited to putting in the graft which will be needed tonight. I think it's a case of playing him for the sake of keeping him happy, a bit like Chadli against Swansea. When's Holtby's turn?! <grr>

I have to agree. That's part of the reason that I suggested playing Dembele down the left and starting Capoue in the centre.
