Really can't see you getting Kroos or Vidal if you miss out on top four, but yeah that is a beastly midfield. Don't think it's getting outmuscled by anybody and they all score goals for fun.
Indeed, if it were to be him or a left back I reckon we could get by without the left back. Cabaye might be just one small rung below the very top quality but only just and for that price covers Carrick immediately and also long term. Partners him when he gets back, allows Cleverley too be sold and means we don't rely too heavily on Fletcher who really is performing miracles even getting on a pitch at this level. We shouldn't rule out Fellaini either, once he's back from his (real or otherwise) injury and got his head in shape he can still be very useful, he has to adapt his position to how he is required though, not where he thinks he should play. We've enough of that **** with Kagawa.
The top priority is obviously a midfield that can compete and cover the defence and support the attack with assists and goals. We also need to think that Rooney and RVP will not be there in a few years and we need top quality strikers like the Agueros and the Negredos of this world.
Went to watch Swansea v City on new years day. Spent a lot of time watching Negredo, off the ball stuff. Just prowling the line, pulling defenders here and there, stalking the ****ers. Excellent player, really, really good.
Unlikely Kroos will move, he has played more games than any player for pep including neuer this season. Vidal has no reason to leave the biggest club in Italy. And PSG are in for Kabaye. Would love Kroos alongside matic at our place
Vidal may be at the biggest club in Italy but United are a much bigger club in a much better league. Kroos is getting feed up at Bayern. Hes playing these games but they wont wont offer him comparable term to others in the squad. Hes a bayern lad but hs not like the others. Hes stated many times he would leave Bayern if need be.
Bayern are playing hard ball with him. He is a key player for them and is asking for a rise to match the other key players. He is refusing to extend his contract unless they agree to his terms. I think bayern will cave in as they cannot afford to lose him and his contract is ending the next season?.
Well it looks as if the owners have realised that unless they plough huge amounts of money into the squad they will lose more in the medium to long term. The time to rebuild is now. Even very short term buys to beef up the team is worth it if it gets 4th
You run the accounts for United too?? Gareth Bale, Wesley Sneijder, Ander Herrera, Leighton Baines and Cesc Fabregas didn't think you had what was needed...
Yup. Don't begrudge him that at all. He's really banging them in this year too... propelling you to another title
