Moyes said that he will need to bring several players like mata to rebuild the team. A sum of £150millions have been mentioned. Are they ****ing serious? This is nowhere near enough. I think at least £300 m is required. And the greedy Gs know that. It is much much less than the amount taken from the club since they've grabbed it.
May be vice versa this season. Top players to achieve the objectives. The sooner Woodward and the Gs realise this the better. Everything will come with a premium: fees, wages, length of contract. It will be worth it in the end.
£150million is more than enough. thats 5 x £30million players. take into account some will be closer to 15/20million and other 40/50million and its is about right. Get Vidal for about £50million Left back 10-20million another CM for £30/40million Winger for £30/40million £150million top end there. If theres enough then go for a CB as well. You and I have both not taken any potential sales into account. Might only get 5-10million for the likes of Cleverly, Valencia and Young and a few million for Buttner but it will help towards players.
We are not ££££ or Chav FC, we promote through out youth, we have Cleverly and Welbeck for starters. Maybe we need £175M to be sure
Agreed. £150 is enough, we have a great squad, just a mediocre first team. We need to bring in players to improve our best possible 11. We really only need 3-4 players to do that.
Vidal is one of the best midfielders around, him alone would solve your midfield problem giving you more money for another winger.
Dead mate I think!! Not sure what happened but about 18 months ago the North Birmingham CSC moved to Witton Arms and then the Irish Centre in middle of Birmingham.
You must know Tony McG(won't give his full name out), been there a few times with some mates from here, pity its closed.
That's assuming the £15m isn't including wages. Average contract for a top player is what? £120k for five years? Thats 31.2m per contract or £156m on all five. Of course, you would also have players leave too.
The benchmark has shifted. Great squad compared with City? No chance. What the last three/four months have showed us is that we are far far from the City squad , from even the chavs. It will need serious rebuilding. That is why I was so relieved with the Mata transfer. Not that I think it will solve all our problems but it indicated that the owners have now realised the **** we are in. Compared to the expenditure by the Chavs and City in the last 5 years, we have underspent by more than £300 milion. We will need this to pay massive transfer fees (premium because the buyer is United and >40m/player as no point buying middling players), massive wages ala Rooney >300k/week and longer contracts. The big boys are spending BIG and United can forget the miserly days of the fergie era. The gredy Gs know that they can recoup the £300m with sponsorship money but failure to invest and sliding into mid table will mean losing more than these £300m...
What I mean, is our starting 11 consists of a large amount of squad players. The Januzaj's, Fletchers, Evans, Evra's of this world that are starting every game they're available are squad players. Replace them in the starting 11 with top talent and all of a sudden our team is much better team. We don't need to spend £300m, we'd then be buying an entire new first XI, which we don't need to do.
This would surely be worth a matching punt? http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/25917101 get it done this week.
Possibly. Depends who we have lined up. I reckon the deals are basically done anyway. Cabaye is a quality player, experienced and would improve us instantly.
