am i alone in this for me genuinely being the first time I wouldn't be too downbeat if we lose? Its not a game that determine the outcome of our season, if we go down its because over the course of 38 games we weren't good enough. We have already beaten them and haven't lost for about 4 derbies is it? We have a cup final, Home tie in the fa cup this is their cup final, as many have stated. There is more pressure on them being the ho!e team, and actually being a good outfit. I am going to enjoy whatever the putcpme
I agree with Indestructible. Providing we stay up we already have the bragging rights this season. We beat them, fair & square, at home with a great goal. We're flying in the cups. We have an owner and manager most admire. 2015 will be the 60th anniversary of the last time Newcastle supporters celebrated at Wembley. That means that, unless they went as a bairn, they'll be in their 70's. Yes, a really big club
Completely agree. It's derby week and it's now Tuesday the nerves should be building and everything should be focused on the weekend, but it's just not happening!!! The cup and transfers are still getting more attention!!
Your boys will lose and at the end of the season people will look back and say this game was the one that broke the donkeys back and sent you down. See you on Saturday you tossers.
I doubt we'll go down and I doubt we'll lose against Newcastle. Our form is good, especially away, and Cabaye going is a big boost. I'll be happy with a boring 0-0 and the regular booing at the end.
What's it with you lot? I already told the other guy, I left when the match was over, after clearly saying well done Sunderland, which was heartfelt. You done good to go to the finals. Just by smacking you lot down I don't commit to sit up all night on the computer holding your hands. I switch off once a game is over. It's nothing personal but I've got other things going on.
That kitty looks dead. Time to let go? I'm sure it was a fine kitty indeed, distinctly black and white eh?
"We can keep the passion, but lose the poison. Let's make this is a derby to be proud of." http://fsf.org.uk/latest-news/view/...le-fans-call-for-passion-not-poison-at-derby? "Genuine fans don't want the authorities to have any excuse to cut ticket allocations or restrict travel in future seasons, we just want a game to remember"
@SkySports_Keith Gus Poyet hopes to unleash Nacho Scocco on Newcastle for his Sunderland debut in the Tyne-Wear derby on Saturday.
Not really mate. 1 derby win each and us finishing top 8 while you come 17th and lose a Cup final wouldn't give you bragging rights. I'm dead jealous of your cup efforts but getting to a final means nothing unless you win it. EDIT: should add I think you'll beat us Saturday anyway and secore bragging rights provided you don't go down
Na mate, the barging rights will remain the same until you take the bulk of the points in the derbies in one season. It won't be this season, the best you can do is save face.
Personally, I wouldn't swap a trip to a Wembley final for 8th. Finishing 7th did nowt for me tbh. Besides, I'm not going to the cup final to lose. For the first time in ages I didn't try that hard to get a ticket for the derby. Dunno why, it's just the chance of a point or three that's the main interest.
