The twitter meltdowns are embarrassing.
Ashley out, Pardew out, JFK oot blah blah blah.
Some forget that our team took a massive leap forward the last time we had a big cash injection... Why shouldn't that be the case again.

That wouldn't suit the negative agenda that a sizeable minority of our support seem to have. The facts don't match the soundbites tho!

You've got a point obviously, but don't we get a big cash injection every year from TV money?

Stop me if I'm talking crazy like, but I thought that was what happened in the Premier League...

Would be nice ideally to take forward steps without taking 3 back first. Another 2 players dispensed from an already skinny squad.

Brainless.

19 million is day light robbery well done fat mike.
Thought it would take a crazy bid for us to crack.

Cayabe deserves to be at a club were success is not purely based on a flow chart and fck the rest.

It's not new news though that we are a selling club.
The official statement a while back basically said our strategy is to buy cheap and sell high.
The next one out in the summer will be Krul.

<laugh> and thus it was perfectly set-up for the "we had no time to get in a replacement" line... A line which would have been so much more believable if every Toon fan on Earth didn't already know Cabaye would be leaving for the last year...

I hope everyone is comforted by the fact Ashley has another £20,000,000 gathering interest in the bank. It's not adding a solid **** to the goals, creativity, ability or depth of the squad <ok>

If we sign a replacement I'll eat WP's cock.

Good business lads, Sissoko, Anita and Tiote aint to bad a midfield. £20 Mill for a 28 year old ( and lets face it, an attitude) is good business. As a 100% SAFC supporter but looking neutral, NUFC are bigger than that Gaul Tw*T, spend the cash and enjoy, Fu*k him !

Let's think of the positives for us fans from this deal, being the sort of glass half full chap I am...

1. We had too many first team players anyway.
2. Obertan wasn't getting enough game time. Big talent. Maybe he won't leave now?
3. Debuchy hates Cabaye, so maybe he can push on now.
4. Mike Ashley's bank balance actually has direct proportion to our position in the league table.
5. We've got loads of time to get in a replacement player, with the finest DoF known to man guiding proceedings, should we need one. See point 2.
6. We need to leave the number 4 shirt vacant in case Nobby comes back.

Has WP agreed to this??? <yikes>

I think we might well do business this window, but the fact is we have little to play for so as disappointing as it would be I'd prefer the right player(s) in the summer rather than a crowd appeaser now - if we cant get the right one now.

No it's not news. Frankly it was coming and not many expected to keep him with any genuine belief.

I do think that this sudden love for doing business in the January window is massively convenient for disappointing fans who have already bought season tickets though.
Would be great if fans could flog their seats for a filthy profit halfway through a league campaign wouldn't it?

What is all the more frustrating is that we insist on flogging the assets BEFORE replacements are arranged, signed and sealed.
So we now have the problem of being priced out of any targets knowing we've cash to burn.

But perhaps that's all part of the plan – "We tried, but prices were unrealistic, blah blah blah"

Oh and are we now so tight that we've got to ship 2 or 3 out before we can even bring in De Jong ON LOAN?

Crooks, absolute crooks whichever way you look at it.

24 hrs before our next game. Impeccable timing once again by the club <doh>

Deary me, and to think Kinnear is the man tasked with getting an adequate replacement over the line in time <laugh><wah>

Fact is, we had the nucleus of a potential great team for a while, and some of that was down to Ashley's policy. However, the fundamental problem is that his policy has also ruined that potential. Is it acceptable to milk fans for money whilst simply maintaining a team in transition and never actually building something? I suggest a few more of us will wake up and smell the horseshit sooner rather than later.

We're going nowhere, how fun.

We will be okay and the midfield is strong as our starting 11 when fit will still nail teams.
However the clubs strategy is w**k and pointless.
Its not the selling its the plan b or lack of one.

Days like this remind me why i have not been back to st James since Keegan walked out and will not until
Ashley leaves.

I follow the team away but refuse to put my hard earned money in his pocket.

Cayabe 19m

Since AC we've sold one player we didn't want to sell and improved the squad. Cabaye is a massive loss, but the sale will only be judged on the back of what is done with the money in time for the start of next season.
