I thought / think the same so I have Sky for the general TV - Sky Atlantic and all that shizzle - but I refuse to pay for Sky Sports out of principal in response to this exact situation. That'll learn em.
I think Sky Sports is overpriced but their coverage of football is the best going. Well, much better than ITV or BBC anyway. I've no idea about Al Jazeera or whatever else you get on these foreign streams. And it isn't as overpriced as watching live matches is, that's the real issue.
