According to Rodgers we don't need any new defenders though... I think he is not going to improve those positions.


I think Rodgers priorities are different to our own.

He presumably wants an attacker/winger first... defensive mid 2nd.

Salah was his first pick after all... after missing out on Willian and not getting an alternative in Summer.

Going by smoke/fire philosophy; we seem to be linked with more attacking players than anything else too. (Changing since Lucas injury. We are slowly getting more defensive mids linked now.)
 
well at least this time round might actually be worth watching the end of the transfer window countdown last day shenanigans as we have done **** all.

usually we would have had everything done by now and been a quite night from our point of view at the ground.

its quite this time, then not be happy chappy.

we can't afford to fail like this in transfer windows when the stakes or so incredibly high, what's £20-30 million to FSG if it gets us CL footie? the long-term damage of missing out this year will be far more expensive
 
Frustrating. It'll be very difficult to keep up the same level of performance when considering the sheer amount of injuries we've had so far. And that's not taking in to account the likeliness of picking up further injuries as the season goes on. I can understand not paying over the odds, but we've honestly missed a trick here.

Coupled with the fact United and Everton have had reinforcements and spurs are starting to click

feels a bit like that, could also be setting us up for a ****ing awsome signing, i know lol but we have to hope.

Exactly, if true, I just don't get it, I really don't. So glaring what we need and we are just not even looking like addressing it!! Even with Salah, that was real and we don't necessarily need that!!!!
