Who would you drop? Johnson or Fer? Personally I would drop Fer, Johnson has been good and I think Fer has been poor lately. Also would you bring Tettey back in and put in a 5 man midfield again once he's back?
I think it depends how we are performing when he is back fit. If the 4-4-2 is working and we've beaten Newcastle and Cardiff then he might find it hard to drop straight back in but if we are still splashing about trying to find some form then I'd go back to the 4-5-1 with Tettey, Fer and Howson in the middle because I think that is when we looked our most balanced throughout the team.
I still think Howson should be in if it's a 4-4-2. He has been our best player this season in my opinion. I do agree that he is more suited to 4-5-1 though.
Difficult question, I must admit it's good to have options for once in midfield! Hooper and RVW are showing signings of linking up I don't know when the goals will come but I want to remain patient and see how that one pans out, on the other side though we're still not creating enough and I thought that five man midfield before the injuries hit us was very strong.
Johnson to drop out for me, allow fer to sit a lot more, the further he drops the better he looks for me. I'm not sure he has the work ethic to go box to box where as howson does. Johnson also likes to go box to box but seems to looks worse and worse the more involved he looks further up the pitch.
Ruddy Martin Bennett Turner Olsson Johnson Snodgrass Tettey Jonas Howson Hooper This would be my preferred line up

I, love us to start playing formation like Liverpool a sort of 3-5-2: Ruddy Turner - Bennett - Bassong Gutierez ----------------------- Olsson Fer - Howson Hoolahan/Newlahan RvW - Hooper Could be a disaster but I think it has a lot of promise, there are good players in there who can get forward and make things happen, the only thing it suffers from is a lack of pace, id consider playing redmond in the middle to allow counter-attacks.
Yeah That would work, ideally that role is filled specifically by an AM. I'd actually like Elliot Bennett to play the RWB role I think it would be ideal for him this would probably be a formation for Next season after working on it over preseason.
We really need Howson back, and realistically a second replacement, personally id have brought Tettey back in to the squad too, he does what Johnson does, i.e. breaks up the play but he's better at taking the ball and driving forwards, he's faster and he's significantly better with the ball nice he's one it, although Johnson is probably slightly better at winning it. For my money if were gonna play a straight 4-4-2 they we need our two central midfielders to be more all-round players, Fer plays better when next to a player who he can pass and move with, for all Johnson's energy he's not good as a centre-mid he's a DM and 4-4-2 is a system that need two proper centre-mids. I believe this to be one of the reasons that we have been struggling to take hold of the midfield recently, when Fer or Johnson gets on the ball there's a big gap in from of them before the strikers, this is where the other centre-mid should be but when Fer wins the ball Johnson doesn't make the run and the attack slows down. I do like Johnson, he brings a grit and determination to our defensive midfield but the system were currently playing doesn't fit his play.
Not really, same old stuff - good buzz after the Hull win, hopeful of a result tomorrow, looking to bring in players who will improve the squad - definitely would like to add to the squad
I've heard Howson hasn't been playing because PSG are in talks with him. Why waste the £14mil on Cabaye when you can have Howson instead...
Think that theory has just been blown out of the water JK! http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/25917101 At least Cabaye won't be playing tonight!
