Griffiths is no better than Stokes, both goalscorers but we have nobody who can create chances for them under this current system with the players we have. Heard we are looking at Rhys Williams to replace Matthews. Not surprised really, we want rid of Kayal too and hopefully Forrest as none of them have played more than five games without getting injured!!
Wouldnt replace Matthews. Yeah had a couple of knocks this season but he is a cracking player IMO Kayal and Forrest can **** off though. and Myokolo (or however the **** you spell his name) As can Sammy and Ledley if they wont sign a new deal See Atajic gone on loan now too. Another one ****ed
Just a rumour I heard Anport. Im a big fan of Matthews, he played well on the wing too. Work not far from Wolverhampton and they reckon Griffiths deal was £250k plus Kayal!!
**** that. did someone ****e like Hull not bid like £4/5m for Kayal recently? Should have bit their hands off - when i say recent this could have been last summer - or maybe even the summer before I just dont see why they are going for Griffiths. Pointless. I still cant understand why instead of £5m (or maybe more) on Pukki and Balde we didnt get Finboggason. In fact taking into account wages the whole package probably would have cost less
Not sire how much truth there is in that rumour, Kayal is injured so wont be ging anywhere until summer. No way we will get that guy. He is top scorer in Holland, fans were the same about Hunterlaar and he went for £12m! Loads of clubs after him, will cost a fortune and want silly money
thats what i mean. He is now well and truely out of our reach whereas a little bit more in the summer and we could have had him and sold him on in a year or 2 for double. buy Griffiths and I guarantee in a year or two we'll be giving him away or hoping someone takes him - ala Bangura

I smell ****e with all this. Been chasing Griffiths since the summer, if they really had wanted to spend the money they would have. Griffiths is the level of player and money the club is going to spend now. It's pish but the reality.
Alot of folk reckon Johansson was initially agreed at around €4.5m then when Celtic agreed to match the price verbally they upped it €500k before we could talk to the player, PL didn't like the way they were being treated so called it all off. Sounds like ****e, but we are tight ****ers!!

Could just be me being a cynic but I reckon lawell goes after players knowing we wont get them or looking for excuses for it not to happen. Like with stephen fletcher. Last day of the window he threw in a £1m bid and when it was inevitably rejected he could say we tried, just didn't have the time to get it done
