Nasa have a lot invested on Jones mastering penalties. they cant afford another space station being knocked out of the sky.
They will have forgot it already. I would say Suarez would have done the same on a hat-trick chance but he's already been in that situation a couple of times this season and got a assist instead.
Great performance by the lad - dare I say, he has the potential to become world class? The only thing that can affect this are injuries.
Only one behind Aguero now, but still ten behind Suarez. Amazing really how many these two are clocking up
If SAS stay Injury free now till the end of the season then we've a good a chance as any to grab 4th. Ford and Sterling too.. Compared to most front 4s in the league, that's one bought on a budget but its not far off being one of the best..
You can see traces of an attitude, I've noticed it since the start of the season. Not that he's done anything really but it seems to be just under the surface, am hoping the regular football and scoring goals will help. As for taking on that chance rather than passing, nope he should have passed it, we have 4 players up front that can overlook a better pass for a shot themselves. Coutinho Suarez though much improved in supplying this season, Sterling though again improved and Sturridge. Just as long as being hungry doesn't cost us points
He came with a reputation of being greedy and I think in the whole he's improved on that but you do see glimpses of it sometimes. Occasionally you can forgive him... if he had hit that shot first time on his left and missed I could have forgiven him for being greedy as was perfect chance however after cutting back, he then lost his moment and should have passed. That's when the old Sturridge creeps back in as he decided to try take on his man again and try a ridiculous lob. Not going to be overly critical because he took his goals very well and he's been superb for us, especially when Suarez was out and he stepped up and won us points. He's improved a lot since he came and if he carries on this way and carries on playing and learning from Suarez he can only get better.
Isn't that 16 in 20 individual games for us this season? Immense stat, that.. Scoring crucial goals and very much earning us points. Evolving in to one of the best strikers currently in the PL?
