Good morning all from a wet and windy Weston-super-Mare, I'm looking forward to getting drenched on my way to the dentist today! Have a good day!

Morning all - bitterly cold up here again, we don't even have a temperature , but at least none of yesterday's snow. Today is my last Monday off for a while - my phased return to work starts this week. Two days this week, three next, four for the following two weeks then back full time. It's going to be hard after four months off....
Morning all, a cloudless blue sky here at present, but there is a bit of a chill in the wind. Will continue with the varnishing that I started yesterday on the new flower containers that Mme has. Bulbs are shooting up everywhere, with the first of the snowdrops already in flower. Although you feel that Spring is just around the corner we could still get cold weather until the end of February.
Morning all from a dark morning in Santa Monica. Still struggling to sleep and woken very early again! Last full day and then starting the long journey home - arriving back in Bandit Country on Weds afternoon.
I'd swop some of your snow AK for our rain. Its so wet I have puddles on the flower beds, a first! I had to put a pot in the greenhouse as it had a pond on top of it and Peony's are not aquatic plants. We have snowdrops out here OFH and if the sun came out (remember this?) then I'd have some Iris danfordii out too. Bizarre for Jan.
Now and again we let some of them come south of the border and, much as we may like them to (JOKE) they don't always go home.
Afternoon all. Like Dave, I had a visit to the dentist today but mine was extremely bizarre. I saw the dental hygeinist, and was near the end of my appointment with her, when we had an island-wide power cut. She had to finish off with somone shining the torch on their phone into my mouth instead of the light they normally use. Due to the time it took for everything to be up and running again, I'm now seeing the dentist on Wednesday morning.
Some way south of Watford in fact and little to do with any genuine Scottish connection I'm afraid. It began some years ago, largely because Mrs H loves haggis and has developed into the full business - parading the haggis, reciting the great chieftain o the pudding race in a rough approximation to a Scottish accent, making neeps, whisky sauce, shortbread and of course sampling a few wee drams. We even had a Burns Night Quiz this year...
