    <laugh> I loved some of the moderation on that site... Anything could fall foul of the rules. But absolutely hands down, the best feature was when they linked their sports articles on the BBC Sport site to some random snippet quote from a WUM's post on 606 hahaha

    I loved the inventive ways people had of swearing and insulting each other. I don't remember who did it, or if they even came over to not606, but i remember one post that had the initial letters spelling out 'Geordie ****ers.' Can't even remember the post but I remember thinking he's a ****, but he's a clever **** <laugh> If I remember rightly it wasn't even a mackem. Think it was a bin dipper. Those were the days!

    My favourite forum moment ever, with one of the current Mackem not606ers actually, involved me saying I shagged their sister, they said "well jokes on you cause they're 9", to which I responded "well that's ok, because it's 63 in dog years"... I received many e-mails from the 606 gremlins that day <laugh>

    I just searched for the thread, and came across "New 606"... We should sign up for these 606 alternatives that never took off and poach what Newcastle posters have sprung up there... <whistle>

    When it was announced it was closing there was a right battle to get everyone signed up to the new forums. I'm guessing the clubs who are dead on here all went to one of the alternatives.

    Syd on the Sunderland board started one and I think Smudger on the Newcastle board started one. There could be others that I don't know about.

    Just Another 606 looks almost identical to bbc606. Not very busy but not dead by the looks of it. Not sure how long a post advertising another board would last tho lol

    In that case I can only assume that you are constantly angry as I have on numerous occasions spelled out the relevant records of Newcastle and Sunderland and no matter how many times you choose to ignore the record books the next time you look they will not have changed get used to it
