Some interesting responses to Paul/DT's design for a new badge. Its a wet Sunday afternoon so I am going to attempt a complicated poll to test two things - how important this is to people and what they think of Paul's design. So pick one of options 1 -3 and 1 of options 3-6.

Obviously the questions will be criticised, bad luck anoraks.

It may not work, but if it does it means you can click more than one option........

For the record, the badge is of very little interest to me, though I find the current one a hideous irritant, and I think the DT version is superb.

Sorry mate I'm in the process of getting my Sunday roast to the pass, in my haste I didn't click the second option in the 1-3 section.

Shouldn't that be one of 1-3 and one of 4-6?...

The badge is an important part of the club's identity, but not critical, that will do for me

Why fiddle around with something that is Ok, and when there are far more important matters to use resources on.

It's vital IMO and has to be everything and anything... which very sadly means a wet dream for the marketeers... no other way IMO

I have updated my gallery with a couple of additional ideas i had

There is no fiddling the club have said this whole subject is in it's very early stages ... I don't agree that the current badge is OK and regardless of the little bit of work i have done ... It has to go ... in fact I know it is going to go ... IMO its very crass but outside of my opinion the current badge and identity is too limited to market

Our image is the Hoops. Continual tinkering with the badge though out our history has been an extremely long negative, the badge was a blurred changing splodge. What we got is ok, leave it as it is and gradually it will become an integral part of Hoops and QPR.

Right, I hate replica shirts, but I'd buy the original QPR shirt (quarters) now. Provided it was 100% cotton and had no sponsors name on it.

While personally the badge is simply ephemeral to me, DT is right that, in marketing terms (like it or not) something as instantly recognisable as, say the Coke logo, the London Underground roundel or the Apple apple is priceless. The kind of thing you glimpse in peripheral vision and recognise unconsciously. Dave's design has a much better chance of doing that (or even 1% of some of these brands recognition level would be outstanding) than the current crest. In fact the only thing I would do is extend the tail of the Q a little. We should own the letter Q.

They did do a 125th Anniversary shirt the year the Goons took over, it was the light blue/dark blue halves with a 125th Anniversary crest. Sadly, it was a limited edition and sold out before I could get one...

In my opinion we should return to the original badge. Badges should reflect the history and heritage of a club.

As far as I'm aware, and I stand to be corrected this is the original. I can't remember the exact make up, but I know the borough of Hammersmith is included somehow.

That is a bit of a hotch-potch design, trying to please everyone you end up pleasing no-one. DT's is far superior both in looks and versatility...

I'm with Stan. The badge is only an issue for me because I despise the current one. I like Paul's design, but would extend the tail of the Q.
