Well, we dumped Liverpool and Chelsea on their arrogant arses to win the League Cup. If we find some form and confidence between now and the game, who knows?

Man city v chelsea has to be the tie of the round followed by Arsenal V Liverpool. I expect now that the winners of the cup will come from one of them 4. Everton is not a good draw for us especially away from home as we have no chance playing the way we are. Mind you if there should be some changes at the liberty before we play them then you never know....lets hope so anyway...

Aye.

Hopefully we'll have a fully fit squad by then and Everton will field a weakened side.

I can only see Man City and Arsenal progressing from those ties. Arsenal are still deadly and Man City are just phenomenal at the Etihad, Chelsea are still great but they are up the team that has averaged 4 goals at home. Liverpool have been falling off the pace, seems they already hit their peak earlier in the season plus they have some injuries in key positions. If Skrtel is back then it will be a much tighter game.

Either way if Swans do somehow get a result then it is crazy to think they would be one of the Top 5 favourites, albeit a long way off the obvious two victors from the big name clashes mentioned above<laugh>

Injuries returning, transfers coming in, confidence high again after Bony's brace yesterday, the foundation is laid lads for us now to go on a great run, Fulham to the sword on Tuesday, let the good times roll, the Jack Army is on the move again!..............

I wouldn't say confidence is high after one game, and that game being against a team a division below. It helps Bony's confidence that he scored two with so little time on the pitch but rest of the squad will need to beat Fulham before they start getting their confidence back, it was Bomy who won the game... The rest pretty ineffectual as usual.

Can't wait until the first teamers are back, they'll surely have no fatigue and can hit the ground running?

I was saying to the wife "Chelsea" after Man City were pulled out and then I said "Liverpool" after Arsenal were pulled out - fantastic, two of the big boys go out. Then we get Everton away <doh>

The only good thing you can say is it's a banana skin for Everton and we have to beat them at some point, so why not? Maybe if we play with some freedom and pressure off we have a better chance. We won at Man Utd after all.

What you smoking dragon <laugh>

Dai explain how we beat man u away then if it's a dead cert we will lose against Everton?

Take an educated guess..<laugh> Can you see Everton fielding a weakened side so close to the final of a major trophy with Martinez in charge...not a chance all the sides will field strong sides from now on in..<ok>

But Dai, even the United fans said it was their strongest team available and they were distraught that they lost to a team with a worse injury crisis.

that is one good positive but martinez will be up for this as its against us..

We haven't had much luck with Cup draws this season.

3 away ties in the FA Cup including Man Utd & Everton. An away tie in the League Cup. The worst possible draw in the Europa League last 32 against Napoli.

We so deserved a home tie with a lower league club. :(

Stop fretting good people. It's a cup match. Anyone can win it. Remember Wigan last season ? I'm sure everyone said that Man City were a 'dead cert' to win that cup - especially with Wigan and their relegation struggles.

We can win this one for sure. We are a PL team up against another PL team. It's not as if it's Bradford v Swansea now is it ?
