Also, Liverpool are likely to play their strongest team because they are not in Europe, while we have the Bayern games coming up around that time.
February is going to be a tough month and really test our resolve. We could potentially go out of two competitions and if we do, it could begin another downward spiral.
I'd put more effort into this one, tbh. With Man City vs Chelsea coming up too, this is pretty much a semi-final looking at the rest of the teams left.
Home advantage is huge there. When do they play Liverpool in the league? Going to be some time around then. Hope City v Chelsea goes to a replay, then extra time. That'd be best result for Arsenal.
8th Feb: Liverpool (a) 12th Feb: United (h) 15/16th Feb: Liverpool (h) 19th Feb: Bayern (h) At least three of them are at home.
Really? Don't think there'd be more chance of winning the cup than league if Chelsea or City go out & they're concentrating on the League?
The league is bigger and is the hardest trophy we can win. We still have a great chance this year, and who knows when we will get into a position like this again. Teams like City and Chelsea are going to get even stronger next season and Man Utd can't be as **** next season. We need to go for the league full pelt.
Cup, I'd take a draw at Anfield, I think a point at Anfield would be a good point, and wouldn't hurt our title chances, and winning in the cup meanwhile, takes us a step closer to winning the cup and potential double.
This^ I think we will be very strong next season, especially if we get a decent striker or two. 88-92 points next year I hope. This year 85 would be great. City may not be stronger but their manager will have more experience
Tbh i'm usually quite confident when we play Liverpool, particularly at home. I think the way they set up with two strikers plays into our hands and if Rodgers persists with playing both Suarez and Sturridge we will dominate the midfield. Suarez is obviously the kind of player who can turn a game on it's head but Kosc can deal with him. The one thing that does concern me is that it's a cup game and Liverpool have done well in the domestic cups in recent years and they put alot of effort into it. What im most pleased about is City and Chelsea getting each other. It'll be a tough game for both teams meaning the fact we have drawn Liverpool isn't so bad as our rivals don't have any easy fixture to rest players for the league. Plus it means one of the favourtes will go out. Hopefully Chelsea beat City and we beat Liverpool, then i'll be confident we have a very good chance of winning the cup. Overall i think it's a good draw. It's an annoying time for the fixture to be played when we have so many important games in a row but if we win we will be one of two favourites for the competition.
Don't be so sure, we rarely lose at home, especially when it's a big game. If you manage it then perhaps you really will be in with a chance of the title tbh
Hopefully we have 11 fit players by then... At this rate we won't! We've ****ed January up big time so far.
