January Transfer Rumours Thread

Discussion in 'Liverpool' started by Super G Ted'inho, Sep 3, 2013.

  1. Maybe Salah genuinely believes in his own abilities and thinks he can break into the first team?

    Well he's in for a shock <laugh>

Watching this game that's on now, and the Chelsea midfield is outrageously good!

Political or not, he was by far their best player. Can't stand Chavski, their owner, their approach to buying titles and trophies or Mourinho's short term football stops - but Mata was a player I loved watching regardless. Brilliant player.

If you have a player like that in your squad, you build around him. I don't get it at all.

  4. He is but I think a lot of players are like this. Obviously, some move for the money but I genuinely believe players think they are better than they are most of the time. TBF, why wouldn't you? If you're a professional footballer then you should have ambition to be as good as you possibly can, why not aim for the top if you think you can do it? If that's what they believe then they need to bite the bullet at some point.

I think the fan always sees things differently to the player in question.

  5. He was their best player and that's my point as he still wasn't playing. So a comparison between Mata and Salah to suggest the latter won't play is somewhat flawed <ok>

Ps...I agree he won't play, just saying <ok>

Momo Sissoko is a free agent. Could we sign him as a stop gap for DM.

He was playing well, if a bit unpredictable, until he got that unlucky eye injury. Not one for the future I know, but could he do a job short term to keep us in the top four. Palace are after him at the moment.

  7. Never been the same since but on a free as a stop gap? Hmmm, not sure, maybe on pay-as-you-play?

That's true. But with this particular case I think it's a case of him believing his own hype. He play's in the Swiss league and has pretty average stats. He know's full well what Chelsea have in midfield and the financial muscle they have, surely it's obvious to carry on developing his game by playing week in week out for a club with less power then maybe making a big move.

It just stinks of his agent seeing $$$ and making sure the deal happens.

I understand if the kids rated as the next big thing etc etc. but this is Salah ffs!!

I just don't get Salah to the Chavs, from either party. He wont be first team and can't play CL for the rest of the season, so aside from a big paycheck what does he get out of it?
Chelsea have just sold two similar players, cause they weren't playing, they don't play with wingers, they already have 3 or 4 players for the positions behind a striker.

This just strikes me as Chavs preventing a rival buying a player who might hurt them. Similar to selling Mata or loaning players to rival teams that can longer directly hurt them and take points off other rival teams. Maureen has taken tactics into the transfer market.

In which case he probably should have stayed until there was <ok>

A smaller team like Everton, Man Utd or Hull City may have come for him in the summer.

OFFICIAL: Chelsea have completed the signing of Mohamed Salah from Swiss side FC Basel, for a reported 11 million pounds.

Not 16-20 which I saw thrown around.

So where did that Saul rumor come from? That one sounds a load of ****. Take Mario Suarez from Athletico, still young and already ready to help straight away.
