Daniel Sturridge - How good can he become?

Discussion in 'Liverpool' started by Magic Ted, Jan 26, 2014.

?

How do you see Sturridge progressing?

  1. Early peek, will be a strong squad player.

  2. Good player but will eventually fall away.

  3. Avoid injuries and he'll get even better.

  4. One of the PL's best players

  5. An established name in world football

I'm all for giving credit where its due.

Would you give credit to Welbeck, who is pretty similar to Sturridge? Hes scored 8 this season, hes a goal away from his best ever season and hes been playing mostly from the left.

    So wheres Welbecks credit?

    Exactly <ok>

Just two run of the mill PL footballers. The only credit either deserve is for the fat they made it as pro footballers.

Gtf UIR you started with comparing Sturridge to Rooney and mocked Sturridge(no credit in that).<laugh>

Both Rooney and RVP are not the players for Utd they once were for differing reasons and they are eclipsed currently by Suarez.

Sturridge is better than Wellbeck and the Mexican and the evidence is there to see, if you want to bang on about previous seasons fine knock yourself out.<ok>

Yeh Sturridge is better than Welbeck. Agree with you there. Not much in it.

Sturridge is your second best striker, Rooney our second best. Hence comparing them. As well as some comedy posts in this thread. Rooney is miles better, wasnt really a debate, just something to highlight the stupidity of a few.

Suarez is having a great season, if he keeps it up he might get mentioned in the same breath as Rooney and RvP. this season, for various reasons ( including goals ) hes the better player. Not sure it would be so clear cut had RvP been fit.

Lol its like asking who is better.

Cleverley or that thug you guys sold Swansea. Too difficult to call because theres always an argument for why the other is worse.

Suarez is only in his 2nd full season in the Prem so the only comparison you can make is the stats from Utd's 4 strikers stats from the same period of their careers in the prem.

Out of those two Cleverly is worse, to be honest Cleverly is probably the worst midfielders to wear the Utd shirt in recent years. I'd even have the fat ****er Anderson before him.

Shelvey is better by some distance <ok>

  10. Just for clarification, I don't give a **** who is better. We have Suarez and that'll do me <ok>

    Thats him. Hes embarrassingly bad.

Cleverley is only ok in a 3 man midfield. It suits him. In a 2 man midfield hs the worst player since kleberson and the 2 djemba lads.

But then Liam Miller pied up and said hi....

  15. Hang on, hang on...

Wasn't you the one that said Suarez as a flat track bully and that he never scores against the top sides? This was in the midst of the 'best player in the world' debate. You then claimed that only this season counts (mainly because it suited your argument because Suarez had scored or dominated against all the top sides if you include previous seasons) and therefore he wasn't the best.

Now, you claim RvP is the best despite being **** / injured for most of this season? #contradiction #takingtobesplace

PMK asked who had been the bst since Suarez' first full season. Ive provided the answer. Robin van Persie.

Suarez has 56 goals in that period.

    Goals only:

    RvP
    Suarez
    Aguero
    Rooney

    All contributions:

    RvP
    Rooney
    Suarez
    Aguero

  20. Fair enough. I'd have Suarez at the top, RvP then Rooney but I guess people will just think that's a biased view #neverbiased
