Fourth Official: I Williamson. OK so its back to the league on Tuesday and a game agsinst the PL leaders the Gunners. Will be a tough match and with Dejan out I do worry about our solidity at the back. That said Arsenals defence is fragile and I'm confident we can score. Hopefully bar the known injuries and Dani MP will have a full squad to choose from. Arsenal have won their last 7 matches in all competitions so are well overdue a loss! Think I'd go wuth Boruc Clyne Fonte Maya Shaw Morgan Cork Jrod Davis Adam Rickie Subs KD Chambers Jos JWP Reed Guly Gallagher Should be a cracking match and here's hoping we can nick it. I'm going 2-1 Saints with a late Sam winner! COYR!
Do we know if Wanyama has any chance of featuring in this one? Presumably Ramsey is still out for Arsenal, but it doesn't appear that he's really been missed, particularly because Cazorla seems to have stepped it up a bit recently. Looking like his last-season self at the moment.
A defensive midfielder is abit of a wasted space on the bench (unless we want to defend a 4-0 lead after 25 minutes) we have other options in jiggling players like Davis and JWP. If Victor does not start then get 100% for Saturdays game. Its always hard coming back from a break in the leg as the thought is there that it could break again, would love to see him flatten Wilshere again
No reason we can't go out and win this, obviously Lovren will be a HUGE miss, and Ramirez off the bench too. My team: Boruc Clyne Fonte Yoshida Shaw Schneiderlin Wanyama Lallana Davis Rodriguez Lambert Subs: Davis, Chambers, Cork, JWP, Hooiveld, Reed, Gallagher.
Well, he's been training the past few weeks, and Pochettino said that he hoped he would be fit for this game. Just me hoping more than anything, think we've really missed his physical presence in the middle of the park, and need it even more so with Lovren out for a while.
Mustn't expect him to come right back at the standard he left...may take a couple of games to get his hand back in. Just have to stand there and let them bounce off him
Betfair implied percentages: mathematicians would say exchanges are the best way to work out the true odds of something happening. Might do a post on why some day but for now best to take it on trust... 24% Saints win 50% Arsenal win 26% Draw Vin
Sounds about right: Arsenal have to be favourites, but we also have a reasonable chance of a win and a good chance of not losing.
