So is it the Brazilian guy or is it Berbatov?

    Hulk or Sulk?

Maybe it's Rooney - Hulk, Sulk or Bulk?

'While skipper Sol Campbell and striker Les Ferdinand, also out of contract in the summer, have attracted interest from Bayern Munich and Brescia respectively, Anderton has ruled out any chance of leaving England.'

Regardless of how long ago it was, who the **** allowed 3 key players to run their contracts down at the same time? Madness!

Glad to see he'll finally be getting some game time. Good luck to him. Might do enough to get back his spot in the national squad for the summer.
Hopefully that means that we've got somebody coming in to replace him, too.

Can't see it to be honest. I think Archer will take the 3rd spot.

The summer is when I think we'll add as Friedel will likely retire.

I'm not sure that Friedel will actually go altogether this summer. I think he'll combine his current role with a coaching one, hopefully remaining at WHL.
There was an article discussing his ambitions in this regard in the Fail recently:
    http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...-Sportsmail-visits-Spurs-keeper-training.html

As it points out, if he plays a Premier League game past November 1st in next season's campaign then he'll be the oldest Premier League player to have done so.

Tottenham goalkeeper Hugo Lloris has has admitted he will consider his options at the end of the season if the club fail in their pursuit of Champions League qualification.

The 27-year-old – who still has two-and-a-half years remaining on his Spurs contract after joining from Lyon in 2012 - initially faced a battle with Brad Friedel for the number one jersey at White Hart Lane.

Lloris has since made the position his own but suggested he would need to consider his future if Tottenham don’t achieve a top-four finish.

“The objective is to reach the Champions League. After that, it's to close the gap on the biggest teams in the league,” the France international told Telefoot.

“Without Champions League football? I've not thought about it. I must weigh things up at the end of the season.”

Only goal difference currently keeps Tim Sherwood’s fifth-placed side outside the top four.

Agree, I expect to lose Lloris & Jan Vertonghen leave this summer.

Means we will keep Friedel and Dawson :(

I expect Lloris will claim to have been misquoted or mistranslated, but as much as I think he's a very good player, he's not irreplaceable.
He's been making quite a few mistakes of late and plays a very high risk game. Someone like Begovic would be less heart attack inducing, in my opinion.

I agree, to me he's a bit like Gomes and not irreplaceable at all.

It just bugs me when we sell players because they want to leave for 'bigger' clubs. It makes the club look weak and the press have a field day.

I agree, but we don't really have much choice. We can either keep unhappy players who'll threaten to go on strike or underperform or sell them for the best price that we can get.
At least we don't seem to be selling to clubs around us any more.

I can see Vertonghen at City, they need a good centre back and the Belgian connection with him and Kompany would make them even better.

    Lloris to Barcelona maybe.

Vertonghen would probably be considered by quite a few teams at the top, as good footballing centre-halves are tough to come by.
The same probably applies to Lloris, as a number of the same clubs are looking for a keeper and he's got a fairly unique style that suits a high line.
A bidding war would be good for Levy, but less good for stability and consistency.

Baldini's supposedly in Italy right now. Vucinic and Guerin are apparently his targets. A striker would make some sense, but a box-to-box midfielder is probably the last thing that we need.
