This takes the simple basis of the truth and corrupts the actual events to suit your defence - are you trying to rewrite history? You never offered an opinion at all, you used your pettiness over the correct use of the words canny and cannae (as you said, a 'jockinese' term of cannot) to attack Brady, nothing less than that - there were a number of people who posted and more who will have read it. The only way in which Brady was upset was that he was confused that you had made a bitter attack on him for no more apparent reason than you could; he constantly asked you to explain yourself and offered discussion - you returned with abuse - and then you seemed to realise how it looked and stopped. Some of us tried to question you and you locked the thread, then you deleted it and then you deleted anything that tried to address it. No one is blowing anything out of proportion just offering a honest version of what happened; which is something you seem to be incapable of. There is a simple way to justify your position and I think you should do it - replace all of the deleted threads/posts so that people can make up their own minds. You have, by your own account nothing to be concerned about, so do it.

It was only the other day that you proudly claimed you do not do 'quiet life' and will always argue your case. Quiet pruning of posts to keep the board flowing is one thing, but editing to hide your abuse is another - but you say it wasn't abuse, so nothing to hide. Tell me, what was the title and subject of this thread that was being spoilt so badly you choose not to just remove the so-called poor posts, but you took the trouble to go through lock and delete of the entire thread; and then another which tried to understand why. Re-post them all (or another mod do it) in the spirit of fair-play and honesty that should emanate from one of our moderators.
There was no editing to hide abuse, just the usual pruning that happens all the time. The issue spread onto several threads, as noted by the supermod who popped in. I'd assume had I been abusing my role, he'd have acted. As I said, it's not for you to be offended on behalf of another when they're more than capable of raising it if they see fit.

I can actually remember my first question on the subject, and the post I was responding too is still there. My offensive reply? "Canny?" and I was told it was shorter than Can't not. Nope, not all deleted posts are still there, it depends, but the supermod can look at a lot more than me. If it was as you claim and I was abusing the position, they'd see that. In this case, the threads are still there, I haven't said they're not. I've said they're mixed in with the others that got pruned last night, as is the norm and I've no intention of fishing through them, you've already said you wouldn't believe it even if I did. No. I came onto this thread to air my view that I was not happy with what DMD did last night, which Happy suggested vindicated his and other issues with DMD. I disagreed, and then made my comment that it would be nice if this site was more football, less arguing. I think that fits into this thread. If yiu don't, fine. I'm not going to argue the point.
There is a whiney little clique who thrive on disrupting threads and who moan constantly about moderation, forcing the mods to pander to their whims.......hence threads get derailed. Make a mental note of who those whiners are and put them on 'Block.'
You really are a strange one. Take the trouble to clear up the mess you created by posting the unaltered original threads and posts in their entirety (there weren't that many), but you can't be bothered; although you will argue ****e endlessly. We can judge when we see it, rather than looking at your reconstructed nonsense that excludes the abusive tone that you used. You keep harping on about the word canny as being the issue, but it was your abusive tone and arrogant, lairy stance that got a reaction from a number of posters - at least one of which expressed their disappointment as they had previously supported you. The deletion of all things related simply made it worse; just as your selective memory does. That is what I am complaining about as it is now a trend of your posting / moderation style that can't be ignored or trusted. I have not chosen to be abusive or offensive, I have simply decided to point out that you are being very selective with your version of what was posted, selective to the point were honesty becomes an issue.
