None of them have done anything in the champions league. Van Persie's record has been abysmal in the competition. And their goalscoring record in the premier league is pretty much identical (probably). Internationally Suarez has got a similar record to Van Persie in a tougher qualifying area (they don't have teams like Andorra & San Marino + away games are a lot tougher) plus he helped Uruguay to an international title, something Van Persie hasn't managed to do.

 

Obviously a lot better than you in keeping in touch with reality.

 

his CL record is ok, the fact is he hasnt played all to many times. When he has played hes scored regularly.

 

I remember last season against Madrid he missed a few chances away from home that could've put you in control. And with Arsenal he got sent off against Barca in the second leg. Two of his most important CL games and he ****ed up twice. I think the next step for Van Persie OR Suarez is to start scoring/performing against the Madrid's, Barca's & Bayern's of this world in the big games of the CL knockout stages.

Other than a good goal from the chavs, this has been a dire game. Two very boring teams.

what a ****e game. no atmosphere either! you would have thought they would have broken out the plastic flags.

 

Arsenal are now scheduled to play Liverpool then United in the league, Liverpool again in the FA Cup and finally Bayern Munich in the CL.

All in 12 days

 

Majority are at home, but we have a good chance in the cup, as they will be focused on getting beaten by Bayern midweek.

 

Not had a chance to see Suarez on the bigger stage yet. Our fault. Oops.

Its no surprise they never win trophies when Wenger always gives his players an excuse not to win these big games before they've even played.

Remember in 2001 when we beat Arsenal in the FA cup final, Alaves in the UEFA cup final & Charlton away from home to qualify for the CL in the space of a week? That's what they need to be doing to challenge for the big trophies. Not moaning about rest etc.

 

Very true, playing that amount of games in such a short period of time shows your having a brilliant season, ok you need to have a squad to do the job but Wenger is his own worst enemy on that score because he kept Arsenal's money in the bank.

We played 3 games in 5 days including a round trip to Russia which probably cost us the semi final of the league cup against Swansea, but these things happen.

 

When you are winning the number of games just adds to the winning mentality, when you are losing they become a binde.
