Does he have to know much about football...he is going to have no say about what goes on on the pitch. He says he is being given an opportunity to expand his leadership skills and is an advisor to KL. In what capacity I have no idea, but it is at board level not on the training pitch...unless it is motivational like the chap in preseason (though that seems too junior for him). We'll just have to see what happens.
Alright, I forgot and used and an Americanism. Sue me. Although really, we got it from you guys. It's not our fault you changed the name of the sport and then decided to pretend we made up the word.

That's a huge leap from the information we have. He's not being employed by the club as far as I can tell. Katherina wants a few people around her that she can trust for advice. Something we would all want in her position. Background is not that relevant. This guy is one one of several that will be joining her on the board. That said, if he ever ends up taking a centre stage position, I would share your concerns.
Ralph Krueger talks about Southampton and his role with the club - 30:25 onwards: https://soundcloud.com/630ched/january-22-inside-sports-hour#t=19:00
He's not sure specifically on role. High level leadership stuff. Spent last few days with MP and is on same wavelength. Knows what he does and doesn't need in terms of support.
She's got some grin hasn't she? She's the spit of her dad and multi-billionaire or not, she strikes me as the sort who'd be the first to call for shots on a night out!
Bit concerned that Kreuger is the devil in disguise...isn't that a small horn peaking out on his forehead?
Just to add Came across pretty well in the interview and spoke with good clarity which makes sense from a guy with a Motivational speaking background. He said he had been asked about being involved with the club for some time by Katharina. Shared with Pochettino that with his experience at the Edmonton Oilers he is all too aware of coaching at the highest level and what you do and don't need in terms of support. Seemed a little vague on his actual role, but sounded like it would be to help all aspects of the club and its 700 odd employees. Gave a brief history of the club and highlighted the academy and English core of the team. Finally asked about a return to the NHL "No one has called me" If he did come back he would want to be a general manager and not just a coach. Cons - At worst this is a job for a friend. Leadership & motivational type stuff is often cynically received Pros - From the interview he clearly has no great ambition to be involved in football as a coach himself so he won't be treading on anyones toes a la Woodward.
If Katharina has asked him for some time to be involved with Saints, she must have been thinking of becoming more involved for a while.
