For anyone curious about why Defoe chose to go to Toronto when he's still in his prime, an interesting read about how they convinced him, and how they convinced Spurs to sell: http://www.thestar.com/sports/socce...ourful_journey_led_by_tim_leiweke_kelly.html#
Just regarding the noises that were made when we were sniffing around, I think he won't be impressed by them.......no matter how many S.Americans reside.
Amazing and rather wonderful letter by Juan Mata to the Chelsea fans/staff etc. Absolute class. Dani, take note. In fact, that actually just goes for everyone. http://blogs.grada360.com/juanmata/en/2014/01/25/muchas-gracias/#.UuRgh-qZpFc.twitter
A wonderful letter, especially as he didn't forget the little guys. A real grown up attitude as well. Sounds like he is too good for United. A really strange transfer from Chelsea's point of view though (apart from the lovely dosh).
And the fact it may now help United trouble Chelsea's main rivals for the title, having already played Chelsea twice this season. Something that has rankled Mr Wenger quite seriously.
I like that, it's quite simple, but I'd love it if somebody did that leaving here. Quite a classy act - just underlines that he was too good for Chelsea.
Very touching letter. Says something about the man, particularly the positive reference to Jose. He could easily have back stabbed, but no, he took the moral high ground. Well done Juan mata.
You could take his comment to Jose as tongue in cheek...suggesting that Mourinho helped him to learn to live with adversity
