Good professional job by the boys today, was a tricky one, but they handled it well. Credit to SB, he now has even the 2nd string singing from the same hymn sheet as the first eleven. We are looking much stronger in depth than I have seen us before. Congratulations to Matty Fryatt for his 2 goals, and taking his chance to show SB he is worth his place on the bench for the league games.

Unless you're a millipede, that doesn't sound like too many.

    Southend fan in peace.
Was good to have the hall sold out and it was nice to have an away support show up that numbered more than 50. I really fancied us today after seeing that Hudd/Livermore/Brady weren't starting and to be honest it could have gone either way. The last time I saw Matty Fryatt he was at Leicester. He put 5 past us in two games when we were relegated from the Championship some years back and I had a £20 bet with a friend that he would score the first against us - should have bet more. Stick with him.
Brady was quality from the moment he came on - had he started I could see the scoreline being much higher. Graham was really off the pace today.

Anyway, good luck with the battle in the Premier League!

I think, all in all, the score flattered us and didn’t reflect how tight it was for much of the game.

Good to see Phil Brown doing well too, clearly you’ve got a very good L2 side.

My apologies, I'm not trying to be petty. It's just that Fryatt's put away 1 in every 3 games for us. It's a great return. If he'd put away 1 in 2, he wouldn't even be here. It seems that you just don't rate him, that's your opinion and believe it or not, I respect that.
