Were you at the Wembley play-off final between Watford and Bolton a few years back?

I was - truly gutted, and vowed there and then never to attend a play-off final again (not that we've been in one!)

Dean Holdsworth missed an absolute sitter, the plonker :D

Dodged a bullet there then with Gould thankfully. Oddschecker give the outright odds, it's 10/1 the filed and rightly so as it is a lotto. I have no bet but that Un-Nooh (not sure right spelling) look's a good player for this format and he's ranging from 28/1 to 40/1. I'm the same, will get to watch tonight and not so much tomorrow but it's a nice change to see them squirm under these circumstances.

Bugger off <steam> Nah, it was a very good bet and if it had been any other team they were playing against I'd have joined you. Well done.

I put a little treble on when I was backing Lac Fontana:

    Horse Racing Cheltenham 4.10 Cheltenham Win 25/01/2014 16:10 Lac Fontana (Win) @ 4/1 (4/1)
Horse Racing Leopardstown 2.35 Leopardstown: Irish Champion Hurdle Win 26/01/2014 14:35 Our Conor @ 7/2
Football Football Live Manchester City v Watford (FT 4v2) Full Time Result Live 25/01/2014 15:01 Manchester City (Win) @ 15/8

Need Our Conor to have improved by half a stone though <yikes>

At least it gives me a nice bet to watch :)

Anyone think I ought to lay him off?

Yet he still hasn't got the job it's madness! Although I've heard rumours that they're close to a takeover and Mandaric is delaying decision to leave it to new owners but don't know how much truth there is in that

I have a feeling that The Fly will get beaten tomorrow. He shouldn't be getting beat and he's still my favourite for CH but I'll be having a small stake on Our Conor tomorrow

Apparrently it's just a bit of red tape:

The Fly wins tomorrow Toppy, lay it off (having said that, there is the bruised foot to consider)

Anyone that still thinks Annie Power isn't Champion Hurdle class I find very hard to take credibly. Her form-lines tie in with the very best. Today didn't tell us anything. She actually scares the heck out of me now though <yikes>

    That's surely a contradiction.
    Today didn't tell us anything.

I don't think anyone doubts she is Champion Hurdle quality but most probably feel she wont take on The Fly. She would surely win the Mares Hurdle but she wont take on QUEVEGA. She would surely be close in the CHAMPION but don't think she will take on HURRICANE FLY.
After today connections will surely be thinking that the WORLD HURDLE is there for the taking!

Sorry I see what you mean stick! To clarify I probably shouldn't have started with 'anyone still think' as I've held this view since she absolutely hammered Zarkander over his optimium trip at HQ on New Year's Day. It was more in response to an earlier promise by Oddy about bearing behinds and suchlike but I was unable to respond earlier :)

Her hammering of Defy Logic over 2 miles as a novice adds further credence to the fact she's more than capable over the minimum trip. I'm nearly sure she'll be Champion Hurdle bound, she's too classy for World Hurdle and never raced further than 2m4f.

She's some animal. Ten from ten. Done it in England, in Ireland, left handed, right handed, different trips and going. Incredible to think she's improving!

She is a massive threat wherever she goes and if she skips Cheltenham it would be an absolute travesty. Let her take on her own stable- it would be fireworks!

She has the pace for 2 miles and would surely stay 3m based on her demolition of Zarkandar on 2m4f soft/heavy.

If she was in there pitching jumping the last two in a Champion I wouldn't want to be against her up that hill! She is a major talent.
